Quick and Easy Tips for Upgrading Your RV

Article Contributed By Sally Writes 8.9 million households are proud RV owners, making RVing one  of the most popular pastimes in the country, according to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association. People love the convenience of being able to travel with all the comforts of home and none of the hassles of air travel. If you're one of them but feel you need an upgrade, here are some tips to make your RV feel like new again. Fresh Upholstery Can't think of a better way to give your interior a whole new look? Give your dinette, sofa, and chairs new upholstery and you'll feel like you just got a brand-new RV. Don't worry if you can't sew, there are ways to do it without all that work, and that won't bust your budget. Solar Panels Want to say goodbye to the noise and loudness of generators? Solar panels are the way to go. You won’t have to worry about finding campgrounds with electrical outlets or about bothering people with the noise. You’ll need a conversion system too, but the added cost now will pay off big time for years to come. Jazz Up Your Kitchen Take a look around and see what could be improved. Maybe a fresh paint job, a new rug, some new flooring or even new countertops. Perhaps some new appliances would do the trick? Since you'll be spending plenty of time either in it or looking at it, make it as enjoyable as possible. Be Creative If your RV's walls are bare, spruce them up with artwork, a favorite photo, some shelves for extra storage, or even a flat-screen TV.  If there is one thing all RVs can use more of, it’s storage. Look around and see where you can add some. Think of things that can be attached to the insides of cabinets and hung on doors. Did you know that magazine racks fit extra rolls of toilet tissue perfectly? While you’re adding more storage, make sure you declutter as well to make even more room. Of course, if you’re inspired by any of the ideas above, but still feel that you need a bit of an upgrade, you can always head to the dealership and pick up a second-hand RV to do up yourself. You’ll need to do your research to determine the value of the vehicle and its worth to you. Also factor in the cost of the projects that you wish to carry out. Any old RV can be new again with a little ingenuity and creativity. Use these tips to freshen it up before your next road trip.
