We took a trip to the coast to the most fun campground we had been to in quite some time – They have a small restaurant called “The Flats” that serves a great breakfast and some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Someone needs to send one of those cooking show people there to find out how they do it.

Our site was clean and had a view of the bridge, and the river. Sunrise through the bridge was spectacular ! ! ! The kids had a blast!

The beach is small but not too small and not busy even during the 4th of July weekend.

We rented a canoe. The staff was very laid back and easy to deal with as well as very friendly. The Albion river also has quite a bit of history regarding the North Cost and all of the logging of the Redwood trees which are quite prominent during our paddle up the river in the canoe.

River otters and small sea lions joined us as well as MANY different hawks, eagles and other sea birds.
This is a campground that we will visit again and recommend to everyone.

This would be an IDEAL site for winter camping. The locals say that the winters here are mild and provide for great sunsets. This is a popular site for fishing and diving. Some of them call it “fish camp”. I call it a gem ! ! ! November through March is considered the “off season” and is usually less crowded.

Free wi-fi for the techies, hot showers, laundry is available, full hookups also have cable and they are dog friendly. The town of Albion has a general store if you forgot something and is just at the top of the hill across the bridge. I recommend this site to anyone looking for a great adventure. Birders would love it !
