Campgrounds in Yellowstone National Park

Camping in Yellowstone National Park is plentiful, served by twelve campgrounds, but during the summer months may be difficult to come by. Some of the campsites are available by reservation, and some are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The peak camping season at Yellowstone is early July through late August. A fee is required at all of the campsites in the Park. The only campground in Yellowstone that offers full-hookups is Fishing Bridge RV Park. Only hard-sided RVs are permitted (no tents, or tent-trailers), due to being located in bear habitat. There are a limited number of campsites over 30 feet so it is best to call ahead and make reservations.
