Free and Low-Cost Camping
Free camping is almost always a welcome treat. We hope you will help to contribute to the free or low-cost
camping opportunities that you have found during your travel. Use the form below to submit any free or low
cost opportunity that you would like to share with fellow RV'ers and be sure to let us know who you are so we can
give you credit for your contribution to this resource. We will set the arbitrary number of $10 per night as the
maximum for low-cost campsites that should be listed.

Hobart Lions Club RV
Park
This is a neat little RV Park owned and operated by the
local Lions Club. It is located at the corner of 6th and Main,
just next door to the General Tommy Franks Museum and across the
street from the Kiowa County Historical Museum.
It is within a blocks walking
distance of some very fine restaurants and shops. This park has 10
sites that have water and elect. there is a dump station at the RV
park and the park will accommodate larger RV with pull-through sites.
All sites are gravel. There is a 7 night stay limit and the
price is $10.00 per night.

Belleayre Mountain
Ski Center
Belleayre Mountain Ski Center www.belleayre.com just off Route 28 in the
Catskill Mountains of upstate New York offers free overnight parking for RVs. With miles of hiking
trails through the Catskill Forest Preserve, bike trails, an interactive nature center, even a lake with
a sand beach, Belleayre is an ideal place to stay. Plan your trip right and you can enjoy top notch
entertainment. The Belleayre Music Conservatory www.belleayremusic.org offers up and coming
artists and headliners from a wide variety of genres – jazz, pop, opera, and more – all in a gorgeous
mountainside setting throughout the summer and fall. No electric, water, or dumping but no fees,
gorgeous views, and great music make Belleayre worth the visit. 10 minutes to Supermarket. Half
hour to town of Woodstock.

We would like to add that getting a nationwide list of Wal-Mart
locations is as easy as buying a road atlas from one of their locations. The road atlas will include
store locations by state with addresses and phone numbers. We
highly recommend that before you park overnight on any Wal-Mart parking lot that you check with management
to first be sure that it is ok. The vast majority of the stores will have no problem with
you parking overnight, but there are a few store locations that do not permit overnight RV parking,
primarily due to local ordinances of the municipality where they are located. ~
