Winter 2016-2017 Park Hosts Needed At

US Army Corps Of Engineers

Campgrounds In Pickensville, Alabama

The park is just 45 minutes from Columbus Air Force Base and Walmart. This park is a US Army Corps of Engineers park and is staffed with two volunteer park host positions. Each position comes with a RV pad, free utilities, free uniform (cap and vest), and free laundry machine usage. Position runs from mid- September through the first of March. The park consists of Restrooms, large picnic pavilion, 100 campsites, several primitive campsites, and a boat ramp. Park host duties are to provide security and campground registration. A Park host typically works one week on and then one week off. Hours are flexible with a requirement of working a minimum of 21 hours a week. Allowing plenty of time to explore the park and surrounding areas. Come winter with us where the average winter temperature is between 60-70 degrees. Wanted a Volunteer Park Host couple for Sumter Campground located in Gainesville, Alabama

This park is a US Army Corps of Engineers park and is staffed with two volunteer park host positions. Each position comes with a RV pad, free utilities, free uniform (cap and vest), and free laundry machine usage. Note: there is no internet coverage but a telephone is provided with park number that hosts answer. Cell phone coverage can be spotty at times. Couples applying should be in good health as medical services are over an hour away. Applicants should expect extreme summer time temperatures. This is a remote park with limited facilities. The closest Walmart and grocery stores are an hour away. Position runs through September with an option to extend over the winter. The park consists of a Restroom, large picnic pavilion, several primitive campsites, picnic sites and a boat ramp. Park host duties are to provide security, boat ramp fee and campground fee monitoring. Sumter Park is a sportsman’s paradise offering excellent fishing and hunting opportunities in the park. A Park host typically works one week on and then one week off. Hours are flexible with a requirement of working a minimum of 21 hours a week. This park is a US Army Corps of Engineers park and is staffed with two volunteer park host couples. Note there is no internet coverage but a land line telephone is provided with park number that host answer. Cell phone coverage can be spotty at times. Couples applying should be in good health as medical services are limited in the area. Applicants should expect extreme summer time temperatures. The closest Walmart is an hour away. The park consists of two bath houses, 58 campsites, a large pavilion and a small boat ramp. Park host duties are to provide security, keep sites cleaned, keep grills cleaned, monitor bathhouses, pick up litter and check in campers. Cochrane campground is a sportsman’s paradise offering excellent fishing and hunting opportunities in the park. Park host typically works one week on and then one week off. Hours are flexible with a requirement of working a minimum of 21 hours a week. Allowing plenty of time to explore the park and surrounding areas. Work Camper Opportunity At Tranquility RV and Campgrounds

We are located in the beautiful area of Lookout mountain. there are hiking trails, waterfalls, amazing views and caves everywhere! Our campgrounds are exceptionally nice and we are interested in having a few RV'ers come and hookup their water and power in exchange for some help here. General maintenance like, cleaning the bath house, mowing, setting up camp areas and handyman stuff and gardening will be most helpful. Contact us with your experience and we would love to see you. We ask 10 hours a week only. Come and enjoy thank you.  Help we are looking to receive: Customer service for registered campers within campground area after park hours. Welcoming campers, assisting with late check-in, explanation of the rules and regulations. Assisting with campground special events and programs. Primary contact for campers when staff is unavailable. Monitor campgrounds and entrance gates on days parks are closed (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Park Management will provide ample training prior to assigning of duties. Light maintenance duties within the campgrounds to include restroom cleaning, grills and fire rings, trash removal, and pic sticking.
