Work Camper Needed For Private Company In Sequoia National Forest

Hello I'm looking for help during the week. I will be up most weekends depending on bookings. I need someone who would love to live up in the beautiful Sequoia national Forest, 20 miles up from Lake Isabella in Kernville.

The job would be taking reservations making breakfast for the guests, changing out the bedding after a guest leaves cleaning the room doing laundry. Not too many bookings Will be during the week mostly on Fridays and Saturdays. I will be up there every weekend when there's bookings. I need someone to watch over the property when I'm not there.

Camp Host Wanted At Vintage Trailer Park

Pinecrest RetreatPrivate vintage trailer park in rural San Diego mountains looking for live-in camp host. Qualities desired: suave, friendly, creative person with attention to detail (i.e. noticing broken water lines).

The park is for recreation purposes only – there are no full time residents (except hosts). This is a shared position so although hosts may live on-site full time, hosts will only need to be on-duty for two weeks at a time (two weeks on, two weeks off duty).
Tasks include: security rounds, selling firewood, being present at night should something arise (most of your time will be your own because other staff does management, repair and maintenance).

Pets and significant others allowed. Prefer selected candidate to have their own trailer. Year-round trailer site and utilities are provided in exchange for minimal hosting responsibilities. The recreation season generally lasts from mid-May through mid-October. Applications are available at http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5412015.pdf. Recreation managers ask applicants respond by March 31, 2015.

Positions for the 2015 season are available at Medicine Lake Recreation Area on the Doublehead Ranger District approximately 35 miles southwest of Tulelake, Calif. and Blue Lake Campground on the Warner Mountain Ranger District, ten miles east of Likely, Calif.

The Blue Lake camp host site features a lake view, holding tank and ample space for trailer and extra vehicle parking. In addition to the 43-site campground, the recreation site has a picnic area, boat launch with dock and a National Recreation Trail circling the lake. “Blue lake is a favorite for families and anglers,” said East Zone District Recreation Officer, Amy Hartell. “Many campers return year after year.”

The Medicine Lake area is also popular with campers and other outdoor enthusiasts.

Host duties include welcoming visitors upon arrival, daily compliance checks and sharing news and information about the facility and surrounding area. Campground hosts also have ample opportunity to share information with visitors about natural attractions, recreation opportunities and how to enjoy public lands responsibly.

Camp James RV ParkHello: My name is Joe Cunningham. My wife Cathy and I own Camp James RV Park/Campground in Kernville, California. Our park has 76 sites. We are looking for a couple to work in the front office and maintenance department of our park. The positions are permanent full time year round. We are looking to fill these positions now, so we’re looking for couples who can start immediately or in the very near future. We want team players that will fit in with our existing group.

One employee will work in the front office. This person must have great people skills, be computer savvy and be capable of learning our software program. I can't stress enough how important it is for you to be able to sell Camp James both over the phone and in face to face situations. We are not looking for an order taker. We need an enthusiastic, bubbly, won’t take no for an answer person, who enjoys selling sites in a beautiful park. This employee needs to be in good physical health and possess or have the ability to acquire a valid california drivers license.

Floating On The River At Camp James RV ParkThe second person will work in the maintenance department. This job will require a full knowledge of plumbing, electrical, landscaping. grounds keeping and all other facets of park maintenance. You will be required to operate a small tractor/backhoe and become certified to operate and work on our boom lift which we use for tree work. You will need to have the skills to move RVs to and from our storage lot and to spot the units on a camp site. You must be in good physical shape and either possess or have the ability to acquire a valid california drivers license. You will be working with two other experienced maintenance men who will help you understand what we are trying to accomplish at Camp James.

The compensation will be $3000.00 per month plus a full hook up site and utilities including water, sewer, trash, cable tv, wifi, access to our laundry facilities and up to a $100.00 monthly electrical credit.

Elings Park is Seeking Volunteers For Work Camping Positions

Elings Park, Santa Barbara, CAElings Park (www.elingspark.org), is the largest regional sports and recreation center in Santa Barbara. It’s also one of the City’s finest open space and natural areas. The Park is privately managed by the Elings Park Foundation, a non-profit organization. The Foundation is seeking volunteers as Park Hosts to assist staff administer a 230 acre urban park and serve 250,000 annual visitors.

Park Hosts must be customer oriented, friendly and patient. A Park host will spend most of their time outdoors performing a wide array of services, including but not limited to general park maintenance and management activities, collection of fees, monitoring public events, patrolling, and enforcing park rules.

If selected, a Park Host will be required to volunteer 25 hours per week (5-days on (weekends included) with 2-consecutive week days off). Singles must work 25 hours, couples may split the 25 hour requirement between them. Schedules/duties may vary depending on the season and the Park’s event and program calendar.

Though couples are preferred, singles are encouraged to apply. Park Hosts are allowed to camp at Elings Park. Candidates must have a self-contained rig and be willing to dry camp (potable water and weekly drainage of grey and black water tanks is available). Though there are Park Host sites on both the North and South sides of the Park, sites on the South are located on a parking lot with incredible ocean views.

San Joaquin County Parks Is Recruiting For A Campground Host

San Joaquin County ParksApplications are currently being accepted for the on-site residing position of Campground Host at the Westgate Landing Regional Park in Lodi, CA.  Applicant must be able to provide their own camping unit, acceptable to the County. 

The County will provide water, electricity, refuse removal, sewer, and a camping unit pad, in exchange for contractual maintenance and public contact services.  Applicant may be responsible for paying possessory interest taxes. This position’s duration is based on acceptable performance and is typically reviewed annually for renewal.

Work Campers Needed For Caretaker Attendant Positions At Public Shooting Range

Immediate opening for a caretaker attendant at Lytle Creek Firing Line, a public shooting range. We are a remote day use firing range that is looking for RVing hosts.

A secluded fee for use area, located in the chaparral covered northern San Bernadino National Forest is looking for the proper individual or couple who is looking for a Southern California RV location.

Conveniently located close to I-15/215, and 210 Freeways, Rancho Cucamonga and San Bernardino are easily accessed. The facility is located at the 4,400’ elevation in the shadow of Mt. Baldy, highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountain range, and the Sheep Mountain Wilderness Area, in the Lytle Creek Canyon drainage.

The adjoining communities are still rural, however a large mall and other amenities are a half hour drive.

Low humidity without extreme temperatures makes for a comfortable environment the majority of the year.

Activities in a developing controlled shooting range includes the use of firearms and archery equipment from designated locations at designated targets. This is a controlled use area. A tolerance of firearms is expected.

It is open seven days a week, and closes at 16:00 and opens at 08:00. The hosts are expected to maintain a presence on the property after hours, merely as a deterrent to unauthorized entry.

The applicants should be mature and responsible individuals or couples who are self sufficient, reliable, dedicated to a commitment, and independent. A tolerance of firearms and shooting activities is expected. The facility is active from 08:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon, with light traffic on the paved road after hours.

Host positions are seasonal. Applicants are expected to have a clean, self-contained RV, and should be able to provide proof of insurance and current registration. A tow behind vehicle is a plus. The host area is separated from the shooting area by approximately 70 yards.

Currently, conditions are primitive. However, sanitation needs are serviced weekly, and potable water will be supplied, as well as an alternative power source. Amenities are in the works.

Pets are acceptable, as long as shots are current and they are kept under control.

Local activities include hiking, fishing, hunting, bird watching, stargazing, 4-wheeling, wildlife viewing, mountain biking, gold mining or panning, and peace and quiet.

This could be a fine situation for active retirees who enjoy the seclusion of the outdoors and enjoy people in moderation.

Financial compensation commensurate with activities performed. The hosts must be bondable.

Work 3-20  hours per week, per couple.

Generally, registering persons in campground. Recycling and keeping the campground clean. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Assist with general store or restaurant when not working in the campground.

Camp Hosts Needed for Portola Redwoods State Park

Portola Redwoods State ParkPortola Redwoods State Park is looking for enthusiastic and reliable camp hosts. There are 53 sites in the main campground, six walk-in sites, four hike and bike sites and four group camps. The park's campgrounds are nestled among the redwoods and beautiful Peters Creek and Pescadero Creeks flow through the park.

Camp host duties include assisting staff with fee collection, providing visitors with park information, light housekeeping, map and wood sales, and reporting incidents and emergencies. There is a minimum two-month commitment and a maximum six-month stay. The preference is for a host who can commit to a six-month assignment, but we can be flexible.

Newly renovated camp host site! Electricity, water and sewer are provided. There is also a phone line and high-speed Internet at the host site. Maximum length is 27 feet for trailers and 30 feet for motor homes. Be aware that the road into the park is steep and winding. The park is located 9 miles from the nearest store and 14 miles from the nearest gasoline.

Experienced hosts are preferred, please explore what a camp host is prior to applying. If  you have a passion for parks and for customer service, please feel free to apply, even without experience. Two nights off per week; expected to be working on weekends.

Paradise Shores Rv Park Is Looking For Work Campers In The Eastern Sierra Area

Paradise Shores Rv ParkWork Camper or Campers wanted for May-October 2014. We're looking for friendly, happy, and personable couples or individuals who would like to work for a day or two a week in exchange for a full hookup site, cable, and WIFI. It is important to us that these people be genuinely interested in the surrounding areas so they can better relate to our clientele.

We would like someone who enjoys the area as much as we do, who can share that enthusiasm, and who can help us to take care of the place. We'll make sure you have plenty of time to explore this pristine wilderness, but we'll also require you to work some. Duties will include, operating the front desk, checking people in, answering phones, RV site maintenance and some light gardening. Depending on your skills there could be some  paid work available as well.

With that said, we aren't looking for the typical setup where you work a few hours on most days.Rather, when we leave the property, we would ask you to work a long day or two each week. This is a great fit for someone that would like to have many days off in a row followed by a few long days on.  We are extremely flexible on dates and times. We will work with your schedule as long as you can work with ours. Typically, we hire someone around the end of April and they stay through October.  We are looking to establish a relationship that may last for many years to come.
