Fairmont Hot Springs Resort seeks RV Park Manager

Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, a four season resort located in the beautiful Columbia Valley, has an opening for an RV Park Manager for it’s two RV Parks.  These two parks – situated approximately 5 km apart – have a variety of sites, from basic tenting to full service sites.  This position is considered permanent, seasonal, running from February 1st through October 31st of each year.  All of our employees are eligible for health and dental benefits, a staff pass for all resort amenities, and a competitive wage. 
 
Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage the reservation and check-in process to ensure high guest satisfaction.
  • Observe and monitor staff performance in order to ensure efficient operations and adherence to RV Park’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Inspect public areas and grounds for cleanliness and appearance. Coordinate with grounds supervisor any findings or deficiencies.
  • Coordinate front office activities of RV Park and resolve problems. Answer inquiries pertaining to RV Park Policies and services and resolve occupants’ complaints.
  • Interview and hire applicants, as well as schedule shifts and assign tasks.
    Purchase supplies for retail sale.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of a department.
  • Participate in financial activities such as the setting of space rates and the establishment of annual budgets and business plans.
  • Work with sales and marketing to coordinate marketing and public relations activities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience in RV Park or Campground management or related field or 5 years business management experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Possess one or more of the following skills: mechanical skills / electrical, plumbing, painting, small equipment repairs, irrigation system knowledge, carpentry, landscape experience.
  • Basic computer skills.

Work Camper Positions Open At Country Maples RV Resort

We have the following two positions available at our RV Resort, located at Chemainus, Vancouver Island, BC for  this summer.  

1st Position available – General Store Manager.  Approx 20-30 hours a week from May 1 – Sept 15.  Must have experience in all aspects of operating a small store.  Responsible for set-up of campground store/mini-golf for summer and inventory/clean-up at end of season.  Must have good organizational-people skills/oversee staff working in store/stocking and re-ordering of products/previous computer, cash register, debit machine, front desk reservation clerk experience an asset.  Record check required.  Campsite available plus wage.

2nd Position available – Front Desk Reservation/Store Clerk.  Approx. 20-35 hours a week from May 1 – Sept 15-30.  Must be very good with computers (RV Tripsetter reservation program) experience in cash register, debit machine, great telephone manner and people skills.  Record check required.  Minimum wage to start ($10.25/hr).

Golden Municipal Campground RV Park and Campground Host 2012

Golden Municipal Campground RV Park is seeking Campground Hosts for the 2012 season.

Duties vary, but can be a combination of the following:

  • Live at the rv park and campground from 2nd week in June through at least the Mid August - unless otherwise specified by Operator.  
  • Visitor information 
  • Verify guests have paid for their site 
  • Educate rv park guests and campers about park rules  
  • Communicate potential or actual problems to the operator. 
  • Pick up trash in rv park and campground,  cleaning or stocking of restrooms 
  • Must provide own living quarters like a tent, trailer or RV 
  • Willingness to help out with light maintenance 
  • Willing to work schedule set by Park Manager that includes weekdays and weekends in exchange for a rv site or campsite with water, and electrical hookup free wifi showers and laundry 
  • Clean sites and do lawn and yard maintenance 

General Information

  1. Your work schedule will be flexible. Plan to work at least a few hours a day, five - six days a week 15 hours of work a week will cover your site rental. We provide you a RV site or campsite and electricity and water. Each member of the couple can expect to work about 15-20 hours per week. Wages based on experience fulfilling your contract you will be entitled to a bonus at the end of the season.. 
  2. We do often host events at the campground and may require you to work longer hours on those days. 
  3. Most employment opportunities begin in Mid June and end in First week in September.  Employees are expected to complete the entire season of their assignment. 
  4. Uniforms are required and are provided by Golden Municipal Campground. 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of our property and what we provide. 
  • No "green" experience required but just a willingness to learn and live "green" on the property. Willing to uphold our current green objectives, which we will educate you on, if needed.

  • Must be bondable and ability to handle cash

Campground Host for Robert’s Roost RV Park

Work Campers wanted for Lakeside family oriented RV Park in Quesnel B.C.

  • Live at RV Park from May – Labour Day (unless otherwise specified by manager) 
  • Applicants will be able to provide their own RV and be reasonably fit 
  • Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: 
    • General Cleaning and re-stocking (washrooms, rental accommodations, etc…) 
    • Grounds maintenance: (raking, weeding, painting, etc…) 
    • Dock maintenance and boat launch monitoring (helping to keeping this area clean and in compliance with our terms of use guidelines 
    • Customer Service 
      • Making reservations using excel 
      • Checking email and answering the phone 
      • Greeting customers and checking them in.

    • Educating guests regarding park rules and regulations (not enforcement). 
      • To act as an advocate for Robert's Roost and our local attractions.

  • Preference will be given to couples without pets. 
  • Work Campers will be provided with a 30 amp full service site (this includes water, sewer, power, cable TV and WiFi) in exchange for 2 hours of scheduled work per person per day. Work week will range from 21-35 hours per week and be set by the park manager.

Fir Crest Resort Work Camper Needed

We are looking for a couple or individual to help at the Fir Crest Resort on Lac La Hache from May to September. We will also consider part of the season with a minimum of 6 weeks stay.

Campground Management – Chemainus Garden RV Resort

Chemainus Garden RV Resort Ltd., located on Vancouver Island has an immediate opening for a Campground Management couple. The Resort is a recent acquisition for the owners, who are in the process of developing more sites and renovating the existing structures. Enhancements will continue for the next three to four years. We are looking for community minded entrepreneurs that will help us build this business.

The campground has 96 sites, catering primarily to the RV and Park Model RV market. The Managers will take care of all the promotion, reservations, budgeting, accounting, and major mechanical repairs, showing park model RV’s for sale, plus planting the garden, hosting and coordinating leisure and arts events, maintaining the established flower gardens, establishing and managing the small retail and coffee shop operation, while one full-time staff (at present) and part-time staff perform the grounds maintenance and related functions, including cleaning washrooms, gardening and painting. The season's first guests arrive in early March and some stay through to the end of the summer. Guests from Canada’s colder regions will spend the winter with us.

Hospitality experience is not essential, however, strong managerial backgrounds are. Participation in the local business community, Vancouver Island Tourism Association and the Chamber of Commerce is required. Attendance at the annual BC Lodging Association conference would be desired in order to develop and maintain knowledge of industry

Both individuals need to enjoy helping people, whether it is to meet their needs regarding a camping spot, finding a local doctor, or even a good restaurant for dinner.

While the duties are varied and seasonal (March to November), the following is required:

  * Offer tourism information and promote local area

  • Must provide own living quarters like a tent, trailer or RV

  2. Whistler RV Park and Campground employs single campground hosts where the workload warrants only one person. 
  3. Most employment opportunities begin in May and end in September with Memorial Day to Labour Day being the heart of the season. We have few year round opportunities. Employees are expected to complete the entire season of their assignment. 
  4. Uniforms are required and are provided by Whistler RV Park and Campground. 
  5. Employees are given one day off per week. This is usually a Tuesday or Wednesday, but other arrangements can be made if approved by the Park Manager. 
  6. Hosts are required to become familiar with all rules and policies, and to comply with them.
