Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, a four season resort
located in the beautiful Columbia Valley, has an opening for an RV Park Manager for it’s two RV Parks.
These two parks – situated approximately 5 km apart – have a variety of sites, from basic tenting to full
service sites. This position is considered permanent, seasonal, running from February 1st through October

Role and
Responsibilities

Qualifications and
Education Requirements

At least 2 years experience in RV Park or Campground management or
related field or 5 years business management experience.

Country Maples RV Resort
We have the following two positions available at our
RV Resort, located at Chemainus, Vancouver Island, BC for this summer.
1st Position
available – General Store Manager. Approx 20-30 hours a week from May 1 – Sept
15. Must have experience in all aspects of operating a small store. Responsible for set-up of
campground store/mini-golf for summer and inventory/clean-up at end of season. Must have good
organizational-people skills/oversee staff working in store/stocking and re-ordering of products/previous

2nd Position
available – Front Desk Reservation/Store Clerk. Approx. 20-35 hours a week from May

Golden Municipal Campground RV Park
and Campground Host 2012
Golden Municipal Campground RV Park is seeking Campground Hosts for
the 2012 season.
Duties vary, but can be a combination of the
following:
- Live at the rv park and campground from 2nd week in June through at

- Verify guests have paid for their site
- Educate rv park guests and campers about park
rules

Information
- Your work schedule will be flexible. Plan to work at least a few

15-20 hours per week. Wages based on experience fulfilling your contract you will be entitled to a
bonus at the end of the season..
- We do often host events at the campground and may require you to work
longer hours on those days.
- Most employment opportunities begin in Mid June and end in First week
in September. Employees are expected to complete the entire season of their
assignment.

We are looking for a couple or individual to help at the Fir Crest Resort on
Lac La Hache from May to September. We will also consider part of the season with a minimum of 6 weeks

Campground Management
– Chemainus Garden RV Resort
Chemainus Garden RV Resort Ltd., located on Vancouver Island has an immediate
opening for a Campground Management couple. The Resort is a recent acquisition for the owners, who are in the
process of developing more sites and renovating the existing structures. Enhancements will continue for the next
three to four years. We are looking for community minded entrepreneurs that will help us build this business.
The campground has 96 sites, catering primarily to the RV and Park Model RV market. The Managers will take care of
all the promotion, reservations, budgeting, accounting, and major mechanical repairs, showing park model RV’s for
sale, plus planting the garden, hosting and coordinating leisure and arts events, maintaining the established
flower gardens, establishing and managing the small retail and coffee shop operation, while one full-time staff (at
present) and part-time staff perform the grounds maintenance and related functions, including cleaning washrooms,
gardening and painting. The season's first guests arrive in early March and some stay through to the end of the
summer. Guests from Canada’s colder regions will spend the winter with us.
Hospitality experience is not essential, however, strong managerial backgrounds are. Participation in the local
business community, Vancouver Island Tourism Association and the Chamber of Commerce is required. Attendance at the
annual BC Lodging Association conference would be desired in order to develop and maintain knowledge of
industry
Both individuals need to enjoy helping people, whether it is to meet their needs regarding a camping spot, finding

ROLE
Volunteer RV Park and Campground Hosts work part time in the rv

General Information

scheduled to account for accommodations. We provide you a RV site or campsite and full hookup. Each
member of the couple can expect to work about 20 hours per week. Couples can expect to make from
$700 to $1,300 per month.
- Whistler RV Park and Campground employs single campground hosts where the workload
warrants only one person.
- Most employment opportunities begin in May and end in September with Memorial Day to
Labour Day being the heart of the season. We have few year round opportunities. Employees are
expected to complete the entire season of their assignment.
- Uniforms are required and are provided by Whistler RV Park and
Campground.
- Employees are given one day off per week. This is usually a Tuesday or Wednesday, but
other arrangements can be made if approved by the Park Manager.
- Hosts are required to become familiar with all rules and policies, and to comply with
them.
