Chalk Creek Campground & RV Park Is Seeking Work Camper Couples

Chalk Creek Campground & RV ParkChalk Creek Campground & RV Park in Nathrop, CO is a fast paced, 80 site, private campground in the Colorado Rockies situated at 7,717 feet elevation. In addition to working at a great campground, you’ll also be able to enjoy the many awesome activities this area has to offer: hiking, biking, rafting, 4 wheeling, mountain climbing, geocaching, fishing, etc. You’ll also get to see the massive Collegiate Peaks every day from your full hook up campsite. Come and experience the best of the Rocky Mountains!

We have part-time positions (20-35 hours per person, per week) available from July thru September/October 2014. Wages are paid after the first 10 hours per week, per person for your site fee. You would also receive a monthly allowance for your electric usage, and propane at cost, along with subsidized laundry and discounts in the park store.

Positions are available for friendly couples that include office work (Campground Manager knowledge a plus!), Point of Sale, bathroom & general cleaning, site escort & clean up, and miscellaneous projects. We also have a position open for a groundskeeper/housekeeping couple that would include lawn mowing, weeding, tree & shrub trimming, cabin cleaning, bathhouse cleaning, and general cleaning.

Mix Lake and Lake Fork Campgrounds Need Camp Hosts (Paid Position)

Need a camp host at Mix Lake Campground and Lake Fork campground in Colorado.

Applicant must have own unit with a generator or sun panels. Site has water and sewer and telephone. You will work for your site and utilities plus a nice salary. You will have 2 days a week off and only work about 3 hours on the other days.

Great fishing, lakes, rivers and mountains. Campground is busy even tho it is primitive. Job runs now thru September 15th.

Campground and Visitor Center Hosts Needed at Golden Gate Canyon State Park

Golden Gate Canyon State Park is a 12,500 front range mountain park situated in the front range of the Rocky Mountains just 13 miles outside of the town of Golden Colorado.

We offer 35 miles of hiking trails, a full amenities campground, a tent only campground, back country camping as well as group use facilities, cabins/yurts and guest houses.

The park sees in total approximately 750,000 visitors a year and requires the help of nearly 25 seasonal employees, 8 Full time employees and 8 hosts to help us keep the park open, clean and safe.

We are currently looking for two host couples to complete our 2014 summer team. The dates start about mid-May and go through the first week end in October. The positions include one position in Aspen Meadows and one position to help run the visitor center.

ASPEN MEADOWS duties include: Cleaning campsites, pulling/replacing site marker tags, cleaning fire pits, selling fire wood and customer service as needed. The host site has water, sewer, electricity and phone. No internet or Wi-Fi but there is a library nearby and the campground office has internet for occasional use.

VISITOR CENTER duties include: Pass sales, phones, customer service, answering questions about the trails/park etc. and assisting the office manager as needed. If responding as couple, park maintenance may be available as a job duty if requested for one person.

Each host is only responsible for 20 hours of volunteer service a week in exchange for a full hook-up host site on our park. After completion of 48 hours of volunteer service, each host will have earned a free annual state parks pass good for all 42 Colorado State Parks which you can explore during your summer stay in Colorado.

Echo Canyon Campground Has Open Work Camper Positions and A Campground Manager Position Available

Work Campers/Campground Hosts

Echo Canyon CampgroundEcho Canyon Campground, Canon City, CO is looking for four couples to work 24 hours per week, per couple (12 hours per person) in exchange for a full hook-up (water, electric, sewer) site. Two couples are needed for Housekeeping/Maintenance and two couples for Hosting/Office. Positions are available April - September.

Housekeeping/Maintenance duties will include cleaning, cabin change over, laundry, site clean-up, mowing, weed trimming, plant care, maintenance projects and other campground duties.

Echo Canyon CampgroundHosting/Office duties will include customer service, escorting guests to sites, office/store duties, bundling firewood, evening rounds and other campground duties.

Campground Manager Position

Echo Canyon CampgroundEcho Canyon Campground, Canon City, CO is looking for a seasonal management couple. This is a full time, April - September position. The couple interested in this position will be responsible for all day-to-day operations, staffing, budgeting, reporting, inventory, facility and grounds maintenance and guest relations.

Applicants for this position must have proven management skills. As a couple the following skills and experiences are desired; mechanically inclined, basic electrical, plumbing and construction skills, accounting procedures, flexibility (able to adapt to change), exceptional customer service and an eye for detail.

Echo Canyon CampgroundApplicants need to be in good physical health as this can be a hands-on position that requires active participation in work projects. The ideal candidates must be self-motivated with an ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times. In exchange for services the couple will be provided with full hook-up (water, electric, sewer) site plus a salary (dependant on qualifications).

Work Camper Position Available At Golden Eagle Campground

Prior retail, cashier and campground hosting experience are desirable but not required. Our front desk staff is responsible for greeting incoming campers and museum patrons. Calculating camping fees, answering the telephone, tracking daily occupancy, and working as a teammate with our staff are the main duties of this position. Compensation is dependent upon experience. Volunteer Host Position at BLM Zapata Falls Campground

The San Luis Valley is one of the undiscovered jewels of Colorado. Situated roughly 4 hours south of Denver and 4 hours north of Albuquerque, NM, the valley’s 3 million-plus acres of public lands offer recreation for all ages and fitness levels. Located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains Zapata Falls Campground sits at 9,000 feet. The Great Sand Dunes National Park and Colorado's 5th highest mountain, Blanca Peak, respectively neighbor the Falls.

The Bureau of Land Management is looking for a campground host for its Zapata Falls Campground. The 25-site campground is BLM’s newest in Colorado, which opened in June 2011.

Campground hosts are on-site ambassadors for the BLM, welcoming visitors, answering questions about Zapata Falls and the surrounding area, as well as acquainting them with campground amenities and rules. BLM supplies weekly bathroom cleaning and trash removal. Hosts are responsible for day-to-day campground duties, including: ensuring campground rules are followed; conducting visitor monitoring; as well as some basic campground maintenance such as checking/cleaning the bathrooms, picking up trash, and removing ash from fire pits.

In exchange for these services, the host will receive fee-free camping in a beautiful corner of the San Luis Valley. A new water system has been installed in the camp host site but electric and septic hook-ups are not provided (Blue Boy Tank available). The BLM will provide reimbursement for propane. Groceries and other supplies are not provided.  Shopping can be found 30 miles away in Alamosa, CO.

*End date is flexible.

Mountain Bike Repair Specialist and Guide wanted for the Majestic Dude Ranch in Mancos, Colorado

This is a seasonal position that will run May 15th – September 24th, but we are considering keeping the ranch open year round.

The pay is negotiable based on experience and includes room and board.  We require clean cut dress as this is a family owned and operated ranch.  The position will be 40 hours per week with 2 days off.  You must provide your own transportation to and from the ranch site.  The position will require a background check.

Employees must be outgoing, friendly and hardworking. Will need to be able to repair mountain bikes and also guide guests along mountain bike trails.  This job requires hard work and long hours, and lots of contact with guests. All employees must have a positive attitude towards their job and the ranch, and must be able to get along well with our guests. They should be familiar with riding rough terrain and have a good sense of direction. General knowledge of safety standards pertaining to mountain bikes is a must.

Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and be certified in First Aid and CPR (this can be done after arrival at the ranch).

Alpaca Ranch Camping In Colorful Colorado!!

Experience Colorado’s uniqueness while camping and helping out on our small 18 acre family-owned alpaca and sheep ranch, complete with a dairy goat and chickens!
