Echo Canyon Campground Seeking Work Campers

Echo Canyon Campground, Canon City, CO is looking for two couples to work 24 hours per week, per couple (12 hours per person) in exchange for a full hook-up (water, electric, sewer) site.  Duties will include cleaning, maintenance, grounds maintenance, office and general duties.  Couples need to be reliable, energetic and have outstanding customer service skills.  Outside duties require a physically fit person who is capable of assisting with mowing, weed eating, firewood bundling and other campground duties. Positions are available April – September.

Camp Host at Boyd Lake State Park

Boyd Lake State ParkBoyd Lake State Park in Loveland, Colorado is currently accepting applications for campground hosts for the winter of 2011/2012.  Hosts receive a free campsite with sewer and water connections, and 30 and 50 amp service. 

The park is conveniently located 5 miles west of I-25 on Highway 34 just outside Loveland, 15 minutes south of Fort Collins, 40 minutes east of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, and 1 hour north of Denver.  Loveland offers all amenities and services.  Boyd Lake is one the most popular playgrounds for boaters, fishermen, and outdoor enthusiasts in Northern Colorado.  Winters in the area are mild, with average daytime highs in the 40’s and nighttime lows in the 20’s.  Snow is common, but it melts quickly in the bright sunshine.  The park is open year round.  Winter activities include snowshoeing, camping, fishing, picnicking, photography, and hunting. 

Boyd Lake State Park WinterCamp hosts are needed to clean campsites, bathrooms, and laundry facilities, greet visitors, provide park and regional information, and assist in daily campground operations.  A 4-6 month commitment is needed.  Applications are being accepted for Oct 2011 – May 2012.  Candidates will be contacted for an interview.

Mountain Bike Repair Specialist and Guide wanted for the Majestic Dude Ranch in Mancos, Colorado

This is a seasonal position that will run May 15th – September 24th, but we are considering keeping the ranch open year round.

The pay is negotiable based on experience and includes room and board.  We require clean cut dress as this is a family owned and operated ranch.  The position will be 40 hours per week with 2 days off.  You must provide your own transportation to and from the ranch site.  The position will require a background check.

Employees must be outgoing, friendly and hardworking. Will need to be able to repair mountain bikes and also guide guests along mountain bike trails.  This job requires hard work and long hours, and lots of contact with guests. All employees must have a positive attitude towards their job and the ranch, and must be able to get along well with our guests. They should be familiar with riding rough terrain and have a good sense of direction. General knowledge of safety standards pertaining to mountain bikes is a must.

Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and be certified in First Aid and CPR (this can be done after arrival at the ranch).

Alpaca Ranch Camping In Colorful Colorado!!

Experience Colorado’s uniqueness while camping and helping out on our small 18 acre family-owned alpaca and sheep ranch, complete with a dairy goat and chickens! 

We are located about 2 hours from Rocky Mountain National Park or Steamboat Hot Springs, and a day’s drive from Yellowstone. We are looking for a mature, common-sense couple who would like to be care-takers to help with lawn care and sprinkler system maintenance, etc. Plumbing, carpentry, and electrical know-how may also by useful. Alpaca shearing is scheduled for some time in June!

We can offer FHU and all the eggs you can eat in exchange for part-time caretaking/maintenance help. We live in a very beautiful, peaceful part of northern Colorado with light shopping 12 miles away, and extended shopping 18 miles away in one of the top retirement communities in the country. We have approximately 30 full hook-up RV sites for employees at $25 per week per site that includes water, sewer, and 30-40-50 electrical outlets.

NOTE: Mesa Verde National Park is located at an elevation of approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. The working environment is rugged. Employees need to be able to walk or hike at higher elevations and be able to stand or work on their feet all day. We do not have office positions available. We are open from mid-April through end of October. We give preference to those applicants work the full season. We do not have mid-season jobs available.
