Florida Springs RV Park and Campground Is Needing A Work Camper To Start ASAP  In Florida

We are needing someone now until August 2017 in our camp office.   Basic duties include answering the phones, taking reservations, cleaning facilities, checking guests in to their sites, taking forms of payments, maintaining the office until it closes.   The hours vary but may be close to this example 9am into 2 pm for a 20 hour work week. We do have a set schedule that we keep each week so youll always be able to plan.   Volunteers get their full hook up site, 30 or 50 amp, water,  electric, sewer and trash with cable at each site. Goat House Farm Is Looking For A Couple Or Singles In Rural Tallahassee, Florida

Come spend some time with us . . . Our farm generally has one or two work/RV site exchange positions open for a couple or singles. We are a located in a rural area of Tallahassee, surrounded by the beautiful Lake Talquin State Forest. Great fishing and hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. Work is an average of 12 - 15 hours a week – some weeks will be less and some a little more. You will be responsible for tracking your time. Work includes feeding goats, cleaning out stable, fence building and repair, assisting with weeding and harvesting, general repair work, and general farm chores. Carpentry skills would be a huge bonus. We provide water, wifi, laundry, fresh eggs, and a share of the harvest when it begins. Site has its own electrical box through Talquin Electric Cooperative and you will be responsible for electricity over $50 per month. We do not have sewer available – perfect opportunity for composting toilets, otherwise you will need to set up a honey wagon or wagon tote to our on site sewer. Gray water dumping is fine, but you must use environmentally friendly products. No children, please. No dogs unless they are well trained LGD or you have a portable fence, or are willing to build a fence around your RV spot (we will provide fence materials). Horse possible. Volunteer work camping available in Osceola County, Florida. This is a volunteer position with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The Herky Huffman/ Bull Creek Wildlife Management Area is approximately 23,646 acres located in central Florida that sits between the beaches of Melbourne and the theme parks of Orlando. The property is dominated by pine flatwoods and is excellent for hunting, fishing, birding, hiking, horseback riding, and biking. We are looking for RVers to volunteer in exchange for full hook-up (water, electric, and septic) campsites. Volunteers are currently needed from the 16th of March, 2017, through the middle of May, 2017. Volunteer work includes checking hunters in and out of the area; answering hunter’s questions; collecting biological data and samples from harvested game; and general maintenance on the Wildlife Management Area. Only three hours per day Monday through Friday and at least one Saturday per month of groundskeeping, usually 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. After that we might have some projects that pay $10.00 per hour or you may have your own part-time job elsewhere? The hours are for one person, however, you may split the time between the couple or enjoy working out here as much as you wish. It will be your home as well, therefore, it is in your interest as well to make it as nice as possible. May not be every day but there is always something to do. Campground Host Position Available At Quiet Waters Park In Broward County, Florida

This is a volunteer position with Broward County Parks and Recreation. Water is the focus of this 431.4-acre park, which includes the Splash Adventure water park, Ski Rixen USA cable water-skiing, and several lakes for fishing. For recreation on dry land, the park features Bike America bicycle rentals, mountain bike trails, basketball courts, and a campground with platform tents and tepees. Campground host duties include: Customer service for registered campers within campground area after park closing hours. Duties include, but are not limited to, welcoming campers, assisting with registration and late arrivals, explaining rules and regulations, event/program coordinator, and primary contact for campers’ questions and concerns when staff is unavailable. Hosts can assist on monitoring campgrounds and entrance gates on days parks are closed. Hosts may also be asked to assist in the park office; light maintenance within campground sites to include restroom cleaning, grills and fire rings, trash removal, campground inspection prior to and after rentals. Special skills such as carpentry, painting, and grounds keeping will be gratefully accepted. A minimum of 25 hours per week for an individual and 40 hours per week for a couple/family. Workcamp in a friendly family-owned and -operated park on the banks of beautiful Lake Rousseau! This is a part-time, year-round position for applicants looking for a long-term situation. The Herky Huffman/ Bull Creek Wildlife Management Area is approximately 23,646 acres located in central Florida that sits between the beaches of Melbourne and the theme parks of Orlando. The property is dominated by pine flatwoods and is excellent for hunting, fishing, birding, hiking, horseback riding, and biking. We are looking for RVers to volunteer in exchange for full hook-up (water, electric, and septic) campsites. Volunteers are currently needed from the 16th of March, 2017, through the middle of May, 2017. Volunteer work includes checking hunters in and out of the area; answering hunter’s questions; collecting biological data and samples from harvested game; and general maintenance on the Wildlife Management Area. Water is the focus of this 431.4-acre park, which includes the Splash Adventure water park, Ski Rixen USA cable water-skiing, and several lakes for fishing. For recreation on dry land, the park features Bike America bicycle rentals, mountain bike trails, basketball courts, and a campground with platform tents and tepees. Campground host duties include: Customer service for registered campers within campground area after park closing hours. Duties include, but are not limited to, welcoming campers, assisting with registration and late arrivals, explaining rules and regulations, event/program coordinator, and primary contact for campers’ questions and concerns when staff is unavailable. Hosts can assist on monitoring campgrounds and entrance gates on days parks are closed. Clean and sanitize commodes. Clean, sanitize, and dry urinals. Clean and dry sink counters. Clean and dry mirrors. Clean and sanitize sinks. Clean partitions. Clean and sanitize showers (tile, walls, troughs, seats, etc.) Showers must be kept mildew free. Clean ceiling. Clean wall and door areas. Sweep floors. Report all down tree limbs and low hanging, broken, or dead branches. (Also make note on clipboard in storage closet.) Clean out fire ring/grill, bag and take to dumpster. (IMPORTANT: Make sure coals are cool before bagging and disposing.) Check grill top and place on fire ring correctly if needed. Check picnic tables. (Report any loose boards or damage to picnic table.) Check for any ropes in trees. Remove or report if unable to remove. Check electrical panel for any broken plugs or burnt out sockets. Check water spigot. (Make sure water is full turned off.) Check that path to electrical panel and water spigot is clear of any obstruction. Check site markers. Straighten signs. Report any repairs and also note on clipboard in restroom storage closet. OTHER TASKS: Camper resource, contact person, and information source on an informal basis as requested. Minor repairs. (Picnic tables, grills, restrooms, etc.) Site trimming as requested and directed by park staff. Ensure playground equipment is safe and in working order. Ensure that the dump station is safe, functional, and sanitary. Training: The state has mandatory trainings that are provide by the park. These trainings must be completed within a week after your arrival.
