Fox Lake Campground Work Campers Needed

Located just south of Portland, IN off HWY 27, our family campground is nestled in the country with 80 acres of natural peace and relaxation.  The campground features 120 campsites offering water, electric, and sewer hookups and a camp store and bathhouse close to the camping area.  The store has just been remodeled this year and other improvements are currently underway.  We are trying to grow our camper base, but currently have around 25 to 30 seasonal campers and a decent amount of reservations for various weekends throughout the season. We are currently looking for a couple that would be interested in performing grounds work, light maintenance, and camp store hosting  in exchange for a seasonal campsite that includes full hook up (water, electric, and sewer) and wage compensation.  We are looking to fill the position immediately and would like a commitment for our season thru October 15th. Ideally we would like a couple where one could do the grounds work and light maintenance while the other works in the camp store. Grounds work includes:  mowing, trimming trees, keeping the grounds clean, and some light maintenance of maintaining mowers and equipment, and other items as needed and ability allows.  Weekly cleaning of the bathhouse and facility is part of the job as well. The camp store host is responsible for store sales and stocking/reordering of basic store items and camping supplies, answering calls about camping and reservations for the park, creating reservations in our campground management computer software program, taking deposits, running a cash register, and other camp office duties as well as regular cleaning of the facility. Other responsibilities/duties would include organizing weekend activities for adults and children and basic security by being on site. Weekends are a must, but the schedule would be flexible during the week as business is slower and hours can be set up around schedule.  Our campground offers a nice couple that enjoys camping but can’t sit still for too long the opportunity to spend their summer relaxing at our quiet, comfortable campground while making a small wage.  We are only looking for actual part-time “work” but just need to have on-site, reliable, available help. Please send your experience/work history to info@foxlakecampground.com or mail to Attn: Brian 2042 Broadway Fort Wayne, IN 46802
