Camp HostWisconsin

Be a Campground Host at Big Bay State Park on Beautiful Madeline Island Near Bayfield, Wisconsin

Host Benefits

As a campground host volunteer, you receive free camping with electrical hook-up at Big Bay State Park, located on beautiful Madeline Island, the largest of the Apostle Islands near Bayfield, WI. The benefit also includes a limited number of free ferry fares.

The schedules of our volunteer hosts allow you ample time to enjoy recreational activities with friends and family members while providing volunteer services within the state park. Hosts will have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and perhaps develop new friendships. One of the most important benefits hosts receive is a sense of satisfaction that comes in knowing you have helped make the camping experience more enjoyable for other campers.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• DNR employees are not eligible
• Must provide own camping equipment, food, and other person items for your stay
