Edson is located between Edmonton AB and Jasper on the Yellowhead Highway and has all the amenities including WalMart and Canadian Tire. Our park is located in the town on the east side and our cliental is mainly long-term construction workers and overnight guests traveling to their destination. This is a contract position which includes competitive compensation and a RV site for the season. The eligible candidate must have a customer focused managements style with a strong work ethic and be prepared to be hands on at all time. Our facility has 52 power sites with 2 bath houses and a 120-person banquet hall. Responsibilities Manage daily operations including booking and checking in guests Maintain accurate records using basic accounting principles and do regular bank deposits Ensure the park is maintained in a professional manor and bath houses are cleaned on a daily basis. Cut grass and trim weekly using supplied equipment Plant, and upkeep of flower beads and hanging baskets Fire wood deliveries Painting and basic plumbing and electrical duties Manage banquet hall bookings checking in and checking out of the clients ensuring they comply with policy and procedures. We are currently seeking personnel to fill several seasonal positions within our campground operations. These positions are ideally suited for Canadian work campers who reside full time in their RV's. Duties are generally split between office staff and outdoor staff, however overlap is encouraged. Office staff must be computer literate, and are responsible for general guest services such as taking reservations over the phone, guest registration, and operation of a small convenience store. Outdoor staff is ideally 'jack of all trades' types with a variety of responsibilities ranging from property maintenance to customer service. Small Farm Developing New Rv Park Needing Work Camper In Alberta, Canada

We are looking for an RV single or couple to look after our property that we are developing for an RV park. We need someone to cut grass, manage weeds, water trees, security and other small maintenance jobs. We have some sites in place and are in the process of adding power, water and sewer to each, but there is no internet or cable TV and cell service is not great in the area currently. One site is being used by a friend who can move since he is not helping with maintenance, etc. We can get 30 amp or even 50 amp to a site and water also....but you need a filter (the sodium level is high). We have a septic system so dumping into the sewer is possible (this may be all part of the maintenance that we need help with). The property was a small farm and is near the small community of Milo, AB and the north end of MacGregor Lake with boating and fishing. There are some buildings on the property (the house is not liveable and we will be removing it eventually). We can't pay so it would be a free place to live for the summer. Role Purpose The Canoe Meadows Campground Hosts are responsible for the management and supervision of the Canoe Meadows Campground and maintenance of the slalom gate system on the Kananaskis River. The Hosts will be involved in supporting the activities of the Alberta Whitewater Association (AWA). Primary Roles and Responsibilities The Canoe Meadows Campground Hosts are responsible for the organization, delivery and management of the Canoe Meadows campground operation with major responsibility in the areas of: Supervising campground operations and managing programs Public relationships to promote and market the Canoe Meadows Campground and the Alberta Whitewater Sport Centre Registration of campers and collection of fees as required Attending and supporting Alberta Cup slalom races, Alberta Freestyle competitions, Kayak Festivals, and Provincial Championship events at Canoe Meadows Maintain and manage a clean and functional campground Maintain and manage a safe paddling environment and facilities at the Kananaskis Maintain and manage all campground maintenance equipment and Association assets Communicate with Board, Staff and members Construction of new facilities in the Whitewater Sport Centre master plan Inspect and maintain where necessary the slalom gate system Organizational Structure The Canoe Meadows Campground Hosts are accountable to the AWA and takes direction from the AWA Executive Director. We are seeking semi-retired couples to fill summer work camping positions as campground managers. These are salaried, summer seasonal working positions, starting in either May or mid-June. Successful applicants would reside in the campground, in their own RV. Positions can run for 2 to 4 months. Major responsibilities include informing campers of park regulations, ensuring camper registration, keeping accurate registration records, revenue collection, selling firewood, and the regular cleaning of sites and washroom facilities.
