We're a small RV park in June Lake, California looking for a Workamping couple or single. Work will be 3 days per week (May 1 – November 1) in exchange for a FHU site with cable, Wi-Fi, laundry and a $400/month, cash stipend. Previous camp host experience is necessary. You MUST be very friendly and have excellent customer service skills, as well as great computer/phone/tablet literacy. Unlimited texting/calling on your phone is needed to communicate with the owners. You must be physically able and capable of lifting up to approximately 50 pounds. Responsibilities include: Checking guests in and out Checking, rearranging, picking up sites after checkouts and cleaning tables, picking up trash or dog poop if needed Cleaning (4 showers, 4 toilets, small laundry room, fish cleaning station, small office) Assisting guests by giving information, doing late check-ins, selling firewood, giving quarters for laundry, etc. Management of supply needs/refills, bank deposits, flyers at office, etc. Enforcing rules with campers and guests Other miscellaneous jobs such as raking leaves/pine needles, watering flowers, recycling, cleaning cobwebs, stacking wood, changing mouse traps, spraying bugs, etc. If you are a couple, jobs can be split between the two of you however you'd like. Our facility has 78 – 170 campsites available year-round with an additional 300+ campsites open during select special events. Our campgrounds are split between sites with partial hook-ups (30 AMP electricity & non-potable water) and traditional “dry” sites. This position is available for single applicants and couples who embrace RV living and are committed to providing a positive guest experience to our campers. This is a non-paid, volunteer position. It holds 85 camping spots (partial hookup, full hookup, and tent sites), 10 wilderness cabins, a youth group camping area, a fishing lake and boating dock, 8 miles of trails, a picnic area, and a playground. The park is also surrounded by USFS land, making it a beautiful rural destination not too far from the city. There is generally a busy spring and summer and a quiet fall and winter. Each year, Lake Morena gets thousands of campers, fishermen, and day-use visitors. The Park Host position is a live-on volunteer position. Hosts may assist staff in tasks such as fee collection, maintenance projects, custodial duties, and campground checks. In return, Park Hosts are permitted to park their RV onsite without charge—including electric, water, and sewer hookups. The only constantly reliable cell phone service is though AT&T. The Camp Lockett Event & Equestrian Facility (CLEEF), an unique campground and multiple use facility located in eastern San Diego County. This is an unpaid position, but Park Host is provided with an RV site and utility hook-ups and service at no cost. A minimum six-month commitment is required. It holds 85 camping spots (partial hookup, full hookup, and tent sites), 10 wilderness cabins, a youth group camping area, a fishing lake and boating dock, 8 miles of trails, a picnic area, and a playground. The park is also surrounded by USFS land, making it a beautiful rural destination not too far from the city. There is generally a busy spring and summer and a quiet fall and winter. Each year, Lake Morena gets thousands of campers, fishermen, and day- use visitors. The Park Host position is a live-on volunteer position. Hosts may assist staff in tasks such as fee collection, maintenance projects, custodial duties, and campground checks. In return, Park Hosts are permitted to park their RV onsite without charge—including electric, water, and sewer hookups. The only constantly reliable cell phone service is though AT&T. Verizon sometimes gets service in certain areas of the park. Site pads are between 30’ and 40’, depending on what is available at the time of application. The Camp Lockett Event & Equestrian Facility (CLEEF), an unique campground and multiple use facility located in eastern San Diego County. A high emphasis is placed on interacting with CLEEF’s guests; volunteers should always be professional and cordial, and must be able to accurately answer questions or refer guests to the appropriate person while understanding the facility’s chain of command. It is beautifully situated in a grove of large old-growth on the south bank of Indian Creek, near its junction with the Navarro River. Indian Creek Park is the only park in the Mendocino County Parks system that allows overnight camping. It is a popular retreat for many – visitors from all over the country have enjoyed this quiet “getaway” spot only 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Besides the 10 campsites, Indian Creek Park offers running water, picnic tables, clean restrooms, camp fire pits, and BBQ grills. Indian Creek Park is open on a "first-come first-serve" basis beginning the first weekend in April until the last weekend in October. Campground rates are $25.00 per night, this fee includes 1 vehicle. For any additional vehicles there is a $2.00 fee. Indian Creek Campground Volunteer Host A Campground Host is a specialized volunteer role in Mendocino County Cultural Services Agency Parks Division. Hosts reside temporarily in a recreational vehicle or trailer in the designated “Campground Host” campground site during the open season which is the first weekend in April through the last weekend in October. We're a small RV park in June Lake, California looking for two Workamping couples or singles. One (Camp Manager) to work 4 days per week (May 1 – November 1) in exchange for a FHU site with cable, Wi-Fi, laundry and a $400/month, cash stipend and another (Camp Host) to work 3 days per week (May 1 – November 1) in exchange for a FHU site with cable, Wi-Fi and laundry. Camp Manager Position: Previous camp host experience is necessary. Camp Host Position: Previous camp host experience is NOT necessary. Both Positions: You MUST be very friendly and have excellent customer service skills, as well as great computer/phone/tablet literacy. Yolo County Seeks Volunteer Park Host for Knights Landing

Boat Launch north of Woodland, California

Knights Landing Boat Launch is located at the junction of the Sacramento River and Sycamore Slough, on State Route 45, just west of the town of Knights Landing, approximately 7 miles north of the City of Woodland. The park provides access to the Sacramento River for boating, fishing, water skiing, and kayaking. The park has a boat ramp, parking lot, and vault restroom. Duties include assisting with minor park maintenance including litter and trash removal, restocking supplies and cleaning restrooms, explaining park rules and regulations, occasionally walking grounds to place payment reminder slips on vehicles not displaying parking receipts, reporting unusual activities and emergencies, and other projects or assignments based on park needs and hosts’ skills and interests. This is an unpaid position, but Park Host is provided with an RV site and utility hook-ups and service at no cost. A minimum six-month commitment is required.
