Finnon Lake Recreation Area Is Looking For A Camp Host In The Sierra Foothills

Of Northern California $$

Located In Gold Country – El Dorado County Placerville. The Camp Host at Finnon Lake Recreation Area plays an important part in providing a presence at the campground. Generally, the duties are lite and the majority of the position will entail monitoring the campground needs. Trash – All campers are responsible for placing their trash in the dumpster. At times we need to monitor opportunities that bears or racoons would access the dumpster or trash bags that have not yet made it to the dumpster, and make the campers aware of the risk to prevent litter. Firewood- Requests are often made in the early evening to late evening for Firewood- proactive pre-selling is encouraged and can prevent having to do take care of this at night. Check-Ins- Receive the check-ins and introduce yourself to the campers, does not need to be done right away but can do a general walk through the property and check on everyone in one walk through and ensure they can reach out if anything is needed. Campsite Occupancy and Use Rules- monitor for encroachment and where vehicles are being parked. Have campers rearrange their settlement if needed. Ensure the campers are following the agreed-upon space use rules. Bathroom- Monitor the cleanliness and availability of sanitation supplies in the restrooms, can be done based on campground occupancy need. Compensation: Trade for rent is 3 hours a day over a 4-day work cycle (Friday-Monday). Anything above is compensated at $15/hour. Your hours can be flexible if proactivity and teamwork is prioritized. Camp Hosts Needed for Portola Redwoods State Park

Portola Redwoods State Park is looking for enthusiastic and reliable camp hosts. There are 53 sites in the main campground, six walk-in sites, four hike and bike sites and four group camps. The park's campgrounds are nestled among the redwoods and beautiful Peters Creek and Pescadero Creeks flow through the park. Camp host duties include assisting staff with fee collection, providing visitors with park information, light housekeeping, map and wood sales, and reporting incidents and emergencies. There is a minimum two-month commitment and a maximum six-month stay. The preference is for a host who can commit to a six- month assignment, but we can be flexible. Newly renovated camp host site! Electricity, water and sewer are provided. There is also a phone line and high-speed Internet at the host site. Maximum length is 27 feet for trailers and 30 feet for motor homes. Be aware that the road into the park is steep and winding. The park is located 9 miles from the nearest store and 14 miles from the nearest gasoline. Heber Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area Is Looking For Park Hosts In

California

Park Hosts are needed at Heber Dunes SVRA, a 343-acre off-road vehicle recreation area, during the limited use season between October and April for 3 month minimum to 6 month maximum stay. Located in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, the park is day use only, open from 8:00 a.m. until Sunset, daily. Duties include opening and closing the entrance gate, providing information and guidance to visitors, information to staff, recycling and light maintenance, and more depending on skills and interest level. No restroom cleaning in anticipated. You may be trained to use All-Terrain Vehicles to assist in your duties. No public camping is allowed in the park except for limited special events. The host site is within the off-highway recreation area where minimal riding takes place, and is located in a shady grove near the park entrance shielded from the road and wind by a thick stand of trees. The site does have hook-ups, and first class showers are available for your use at the park restroom. Shopping is available nearby in Holtville, Calexico and El Centro. Benefits include quick access to Baja California, Mexico and to some of California's nearby premier riding areas. If you are an off-highway vehicle riding enthusiast, this assignment would be ideal. Summer is not for everyone, with temperatures exceeding the high 90's to low 100's daily. With an average of only 2" of rainfall each year, this is one of the sunniest areas on earth. This remnant of the untamed Imperial Valley is unique, a heavily wooded area in the midst of sand dunes surrounded by intense agricultural productivity. And a surprising amount of wildlife is here, with terrific birding and the Colorado River to the east near Yuma, AZ. Spend the winter at the beautiful Salton Sea State Recreation Area. Volunteers are needed to staff the visitor center, entrance station and camp store from October to April. They are required to work 30 hours a week, per person, for a minimum of three months. Full hookup sites are available with views of the sea and mountains. Remote, yet just a short drive to world class desert cities like Palm Spring, La Quinta, and Palm Desert with all that they have to offer. Private vintage trailer park in rural San Diego mountains looking for live-in camp host. Qualities desired: suave, friendly, creative person with attention to detail (i.e. noticing broken water lines). The park is for recreation purposes only – there are no full time residents (except hosts). This is a shared position so although hosts may live on-site full time, hosts will only need to be on-duty for two weeks at a time (two weeks on, two weeks off duty). We are a small Resort located in the mountains, surrounded by forest on Shasta Lake in Lake Head, Northern California and are seeking an on-site Camp host couple. Wildlife and nature surround the resort in a peaceful and quiet setting. This is a place where you can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as you provide hosting for the guests. We have families that return to stay with us, and in addition, we are continuing to build our guest list. As we are in a remote location, the perfect couple should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable in this type of setting. This is perfect for those who are looking for an opportunity, perhaps be slowing life down, and yet, still have energy to provide the resort guests with customer service. It is acceptable to have one of the team in a full or part time job which would ideally be flexible enough for them to still help, as needed during the busy season at the resort. Located In Gold Country – El Dorado County Placerville. The Camp Host at Finnon Lake Recreation Area plays an important part in providing a presence at the campground. Generally, the duties are lite and the majority of the position will entail monitoring the campground needs. Trash – All campers are responsible for placing their trash in the dumpster. At times we need to monitor opportunities that bears or racoons would access the dumpster or trash bags that have not yet made it to the dumpster, and make the campers aware of the risk to prevent litter. Firewood- Requests are often made in the early evening to late evening for Firewood- proactive pre-selling is encouraged and can prevent having to do take care of this at night. Check-Ins- Receive the check-ins and introduce yourself to the campers, does not need to be done right away but can do a general walk through the property and check on everyone in one walk through and ensure they can reach out if anything is needed. Campsite Occupancy and Use Rules- monitor for encroachment and where vehicles are being parked. Have campers rearrange their settlement if needed. Ensure the campers are following the agreed-upon space use rules. Bathroom- Monitor the cleanliness and availability of sanitation supplies in the restrooms, can be done based on campground occupancy need. Compensation: Trade for rent is 3 hours a day over a 4-day work cycle (Friday-Monday). Anything above is compensated at $15/hour. Your hours can be flexible if proactivity and teamwork is prioritized. Portola Redwoods State Park is looking for enthusiastic and reliable camp hosts. There are 53 sites in the main campground, six walk-in sites, four hike and bike sites and four group camps. The park's campgrounds are nestled among the redwoods and beautiful Peters Creek and Pescadero Creeks flow through the park. Camp host duties include assisting staff with fee collection, providing visitors with park information, light housekeeping, map and wood sales, and reporting incidents and emergencies. There is a minimum two-month commitment and a maximum six-month stay. The preference is for a host who can commit to a six-month assignment, but we can be flexible. Newly renovated camp host site! Electricity, water and sewer are provided. There is also a phone line and high-speed Internet at the host site. Maximum length is 27 feet for trailers and 30 feet for motor homes. Heber Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area Is Looking For

Park Hosts are needed at Heber Dunes SVRA, a 343-acre off-road vehicle recreation area, during the limited use season between October and April for 3 month minimum to 6 month maximum stay. Located in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, the park is day use only, open from 8:00 a.m. until Sunset, daily. Duties include opening and closing the entrance gate, providing information and guidance to visitors, information to staff, recycling and light maintenance, and more depending on skills and interest level. No restroom cleaning in anticipated. You may be trained to use All-Terrain Vehicles to assist in your duties. No public camping is allowed in the park except for limited special events. The host site is within the off-highway recreation area where minimal riding takes place, and is located in a shady grove near the park entrance shielded from the road and wind by a thick stand of trees. The site does have hook-ups, and first class showers are available for your use at the park restroom. Shopping is available nearby in Holtville, Calexico and El Centro. Benefits include quick access to Baja California, Mexico and to some of California's nearby premier riding areas. If you are an off-highway vehicle riding enthusiast, this assignment would be ideal. Summer is not for everyone, with temperatures exceeding the high 90's to low 100's daily. With an average of only 2" of rainfall each year, this is one of the sunniest areas on earth. This remnant of the untamed Imperial Valley is unique, a heavily wooded area in the midst of sand dunes surrounded by intense agricultural productivity. And a surprising amount of wildlife is here, with terrific birding and the Colorado River to the east near Yuma, AZ. We have families that return to stay with us, and in addition, we are continuing to build our guest list. As we are in a remote location, the perfect couple should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable in this type of setting. This is perfect for those who are looking for an opportunity, perhaps be slowing life down, and yet, still have energy to provide the resort guests with customer service. It is acceptable to have one of the team in a full or part time job which would ideally be flexible enough for them to still help, as needed during the busy season at the resort. Our “Resort Season” begins on May 1st and goes through just after Labor Day weekend. Mendocino Grove Is Looking For A Camp Host In California

The Camp Host at Mendocino Grove plays an important part in helping to create a welcoming, thoughtful and relaxing environment for our guests. In general, the Camp Host will oversee the campground “after hours” when the office is closed and normal staff has left for the day. This will include the general cleaning and security duties listed below. In addition, the Camp Host will be available to address guest concerns. Compensation: Trade for rent is 3 hours a day over a 5 day work week. Anything above is compensated at $15/hour. You will be on duty from 6-7am and 8:30- 10:30pm. Any calls received between 10:30pm - 6am will be compensated at $20/call. Work Hours: 6am - 7am with specific duties outlined below 8:30pm-10:30pm with specific duties outlined below 10:30pm to 6am you will be on call for guest assistance and walkie talkie calls. MORNING DUTIES: 6 am - 7am morning rounds: Build and light morning fire Check bathroom: light clean and replace hand towels and toilet paper as needed, empty trash as needed Check main bathhouse: check all trash cans to be emptied, check all paper towels, check toilet paper, floor sweep and spot clean if necessary, check shower stalls and utility sinks to be spot cleaned as needed. Duties include monitoring parking areas, day-use areas, campsites, and boat ramp. Assist Maintenance in removal of trash. Check restroom facilities, day-use, camping, and ramp area for cleanliness. Restock supplies and clean facilities as needed. Works in cooperation with other park staff to maintain park cleanliness. Observe and report unusual activity. Host site has full hook ups.
