Elings Park Has Immediate Opening For Park Host Positions In California

Santa Barbara’s Elings Park (www.elingspark.org ), is one of the “America’s Rivera’s” finest open spaces and natural areas. This 230 acre recreation center is located less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean. Privately managed by a non-profit organization, the Elings Park Foundation is seeking volunteers as Park Hosts to provide guest services to thousands of visitors. The park is a hidden gem that offers five athletic fields, tennis courts, beautiful venues for weddings & special events, off-leash dog walking program, nine miles of trails, summer camp programs and home to adult softball, rugby, soccer and lacrosse leagues. Park Hosts must be courteous, customer oriented, friendly and able to get along with many different personalities. A Park Host will be expected to spend most of their time outdoors performing a variety of visitor services, including, but not limited to general supervision of park visitation, collection of parking fees, monitoring weddings and private events, helping guests at tennis courts, administrative work, and closing various areas of the park daily. Social Media experts are #Superstars! If selected, a Park Host will be required to volunteer 24 hours per week (5-days on (primarily weekends) with 2 week days off). Park Hosts are able to camp at Elings Park and must have a self-contained recreational vehicle. We are seeking camp host couples to share responsibilities with other couples. These positions are available immediately. We are also seeking hosts for the next couple of seasons. Work will be 5 days on and 5 days off,6 hours per day. This is a relatively new resort that was built to accommodate the big motor homes. We have plenty of bumper pulls and 5th wheels as well. We are right on the Klamath River and most of the sites look out onto it. Wild horses are on the grounds daily which makes it even more beautiful. Your responsibilities would include: Check in guests, assist them in finding their site, ensuring they know where everything is and what the resort rules are and then ensuring that they follow the rules, such as dogs must always be on a leash. Laundry and bathrooms need to be checked and cleaned daily, this is about an hours work for one person. We keep our facilities immaculate. Another responsibility is cleaning up the grounds. We have 27 sites on about 20 acres and it is all irrigated and so water management, mowing, edging, weed eating and blowing off are a big part of our tasks. We use ride on mowers most of the time, so you will need to feel comfortable with that. Handyman and construction skills are also useful as we are constantly improving our facility. The Camp Host at Mendocino Grove plays an important part in helping to create a welcoming, thoughtful and relaxing environment for our guests. In general, the Camp Host will oversee the campground “after hours” when the office is closed and normal staff has left for the day. This will include the general cleaning and security duties listed below. In addition, the Camp Host will be available to address guest concerns. We are a small Resort located in the mountains, surrounded by forest on Shasta Lake in Northern California and are seeking an on-site Camp host couple Wildlife and nature surround the resort in a peaceful and quiet setting. This is a place where you can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as you provide hosting for the guests. We have families that return to stay with us, and in addition, we are continuing to build our guest list. As we are in a remote location, the perfect couple should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable in this type of setting. This is perfect for those who are looking for an opportunity, perhaps to slowing life down, and yet, still have energy to provide the resort guests with customer service. It is acceptable to have one of the team in a full or part time job which would ideally be flexible enough for them to still help, as needed during the busy season at the resort. Our “Resort Season” begins in May and goes through just after Labor Day weekend. The Camp Host’ would be on call through the day and evening hours with management sharing these times, for guests needs and to greet the arrival of guests / potential guests; checking guests in and out; showing the resort property and dealing with emergency maintenance issues. Camp Hosts Needed for Portola Redwoods State Park

Portola Redwoods State Park is looking for enthusiastic and reliable camp hosts. There are 53 sites in the main campground, six walk-in sites, four hike and bike sites and four group camps. The park's campgrounds are nestled among the redwoods and beautiful Peters Creek and Pescadero Creeks flow through the park. Camp host duties include assisting staff with fee collection, providing visitors with park information, light housekeeping, map and wood sales, and reporting incidents and emergencies. There is a minimum two-month commitment and a maximum six-month stay. The preference is for a host who can commit to a six- month assignment, but we can be flexible. Newly renovated camp host site! Electricity, water and sewer are provided. There is also a phone line and high-speed Internet at the host site. Maximum length is 27 feet for trailers and 30 feet for motor homes. Be aware that the road into the park is steep and winding. The park is located 9 miles from the nearest store and 14 miles from the nearest gasoline. Heber Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area Is Looking For Park Hosts In

California

Park Hosts are needed at Heber Dunes SVRA, a 343-acre off-road vehicle recreation area, during the limited use season between October and April for 3 month minimum to 6 month maximum stay. Located in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, the park is day use only, open from 8:00 a.m. until Sunset, daily. Duties include opening and closing the entrance gate, providing information and guidance to visitors, information to staff, recycling and light maintenance, and more depending on skills and interest level. No restroom cleaning in anticipated. You may be trained to use All-Terrain Vehicles to assist in your duties. No public camping is allowed in the park except for limited special events. The host site is within the off-highway recreation area where minimal riding takes place, and is located in a shady grove near the park entrance shielded from the road and wind by a thick stand of trees. The site does have hook-ups, and first class showers are available for your use at the park restroom. Shopping is available nearby in Holtville, Calexico and El Centro. Benefits include quick access to Baja California, Mexico and to some of California's nearby premier riding areas. If you are an off-highway vehicle riding enthusiast, this assignment would be ideal. Summer is not for everyone, with temperatures exceeding the high 90's to low 100's daily. With an average of only 2" of rainfall each year, this is one of the sunniest areas on earth. This remnant of the untamed Imperial Valley is unique, a heavily wooded area in the midst of sand dunes surrounded by intense agricultural productivity. And a surprising amount of wildlife is here, with terrific birding and the Colorado River to the east near Yuma, AZ. Picacho State Recreation Area lies on the state border along the Colorado River, which crosses the thirsty Sonoran Desert. The SRA characterizes the topography and geology of eastern California’s Mojave Desert Geomorphic Province, which overlaps the Sonoran Desert. This geologic landscape is continuous throughout southern Arizona- home of the northern Sonoran Desert. Spend the winter at the beautiful Picacho State Recreation Area. We are a 103 RV and tent Campground with a market and a Deli and we are seeking a couple to fill the positions of a maintenance person, a camp host/clerk and a cook/cashier. We are a secluded fishing and hiking town located in Northern California on the Lost Coast. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the ocean and the beautiful black sands beaches. There is also a 9 hole golf course next door. The maintenance person would be responsible for general maintenance with minor electrical and plumbing repair. Santa Barbara’s Elings Park (www.elingspark.org ), is one of the “America’s Rivera’s” finest open spaces and natural areas. This 230 acre recreation center is located less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean. Privately managed by a non-profit organization, the Elings Park Foundation is seeking volunteers as Park Hosts to provide guest services to thousands of visitors. The park is a hidden gem that offers five athletic fields, tennis courts, beautiful venues for weddings & special events, off-leash dog walking program, nine miles of trails, summer camp programs and home to adult softball, rugby, soccer and lacrosse leagues. Park Hosts must be courteous, customer oriented, friendly and able to get along with many different personalities. A Park Host will be expected to spend most of their time outdoors performing a variety of visitor services, including, but not limited to general supervision of park visitation, collection of parking fees, monitoring weddings and private events, helping guests at tennis courts, administrative work, and closing various areas of the park daily. Social Media experts are #Superstars! If selected, a Park Host will be required to volunteer 24 hours per week (5-days on (primarily weekends) with 2 week days off). Park Hosts are able to camp at Elings Park and must have a self-contained recreational vehicle. We are seeking camp host couples to share responsibilities with other couples. These positions are available immediately. We are also seeking hosts for the next couple of seasons. Work will be 5 days on and 5 days off,6 hours per day. This is a relatively new resort that was built to accommodate the big motor homes. We have plenty of bumper pulls and 5th wheels as well. We are right on the Klamath River and most of the sites look out onto it. Wild horses are on the grounds daily which makes it even more beautiful. Your responsibilities would include: Check in guests, assist them in finding their site, ensuring they know where everything is and what the resort rules are and then ensuring that they follow the rules, such as dogs must always be on a leash. Laundry and bathrooms need to be checked and cleaned daily, this is about an hours work for one person. We keep our facilities immaculate. Another responsibility is cleaning up the grounds. We have 27 sites on about 20 acres and it is all irrigated and so water management, mowing, edging, weed eating and blowing off are a big part of our tasks. We use ride on mowers most of the time, so you will need to feel comfortable with that. Handyman and construction skills are also useful as we are constantly improving our facility. We are close to Ashland Oregon, Yreka and Mt Shasta California. All around the park there are activities to keep you busy on your days off. The summers here are warm with a couple days of hot. In general, the Camp Host will oversee the campground “after hours” when the office is closed and normal staff has left for the day. We have families that return to stay with us, and in addition, we are continuing to build our guest list. As we are in a remote location, the perfect couple should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable in this type of setting. This is perfect for those who are looking for an opportunity, perhaps to slowing life down, and yet, still have energy to provide the resort guests with customer service. It is acceptable to have one of the team in a full or part time job which would ideally be flexible enough for them to still help, as needed during the busy season at the resort. Our “Resort Season” begins in May and goes through just after Labor Day weekend. The Camp Host’ would be on call through the day and evening hours with management sharing these times, for guests needs and to greet the arrival of guests / potential guests; checking guests in and out; showing the resort property and dealing with emergency maintenance issues. Other duties would include distribution of bagged ice to guests, providing fire pits, grills, firewood to guests collecting garbage in the evenings and attending to additional requests. Management will coordinate off time scheduling with the couple and this would be discussed during the interview process as we understand that having time away from the property together is important. Management will step in to take over on occasion if the couple would need time away. This will be discussed during the interview process. Management will be residing on property during the summer season and will assist in maintain grounds, be available for emergencies, communicate with Host’ regarding reservations, etc. The ideal candidates shall have experience in a similar setting; have the energy to maintain the resort guests daily and be available to guests needs. The ideal candidates’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting guests, welcoming off road guests, checking guests in and out Customer service, which includes providing guests with lake activity information and local information On site security Dispose of, in the evening, all garbage and recycling as needed to deter wildlife. The candidates would be fluent in English and a "hands on" duo with complementary skills to reside on property * in their privately-owned RV, on one of our full hook-up RV Sites There is also an opportunity to earn income, if interested in cleaning cabins after move-outs through the season at a rate of $25.00 per 1 bedroom and $35.00 per 2 or 3-bedroom cabin cleaned. Host’ will demonstrate a passion for hospitality, be reliable and dependable, business appropriate and personable to interact with guests, Honest and good natured, provide attention to creating a pleasing and clean atmosphere, and the ability to relate to diverse guests. Although not a requirement, we would like to find a couple that would consider staying on property indefinitely should it be viable for both parties. During that time (mid-September until opening season in May) the couple would also be able to seek other employment. Camp Hosts Needed for Portola Redwoods State Park

Portola Redwoods State Park is looking for enthusiastic and reliable camp hosts. There are 53 sites in the main campground, six walk-in sites, four hike and bike sites and four group camps. The park's campgrounds are nestled among the redwoods and beautiful Peters Creek and Pescadero Creeks flow through the park. Camp host duties include assisting staff with fee collection, providing visitors with park information, light housekeeping, map and wood sales, and reporting incidents and emergencies. There is a minimum two-month commitment and a maximum six-month stay. The preference is for a host who can commit to a six-month assignment, but we can be flexible. Newly renovated camp host site! Electricity, water and sewer are provided. There is also a phone line and high-speed Internet at the host site. Maximum length is 27 feet for trailers and 30 feet for motor homes. Be aware that the road into the park is steep and winding. The park is located 9 miles from the nearest store and 14 miles from the nearest gasoline. Heber Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area Is Looking For

Park Hosts are needed at Heber Dunes SVRA, a 343-acre off-road vehicle recreation area, during the limited use season between October and April for 3 month minimum to 6 month maximum stay. Located in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, the park is day use only, open from 8:00 a.m. until Sunset, daily. Duties include opening and closing the entrance gate, providing information and guidance to visitors, information to staff, recycling and light maintenance, and more depending on skills and interest level. No restroom cleaning in anticipated. You may be trained to use All-Terrain Vehicles to assist in your duties. No public camping is allowed in the park except for limited special events. The host site is within the off-highway recreation area where minimal riding takes place, and is located in a shady grove near the park entrance shielded from the road and wind by a thick stand of trees. The site does have hook-ups, and first class showers are available for your use at the park restroom. Shopping is available nearby in Holtville, Calexico and El Centro. Benefits include quick access to Baja California, Mexico and to some of California's nearby premier riding areas. If you are an off-highway vehicle riding enthusiast, this assignment would be ideal. Summer is not for everyone, with temperatures exceeding the high 90's to low 100's daily. With an average of only 2" of rainfall each year, this is one of the sunniest areas on earth. This remnant of the untamed Imperial Valley is unique, a heavily wooded area in the midst of sand dunes surrounded by intense agricultural productivity. And a surprising amount of wildlife is here, with terrific birding and the Colorado River to the east near Yuma, AZ. Picacho State Recreation Area lies on the state border along the Colorado River, which crosses the thirsty Sonoran Desert. The SRA characterizes the topography and geology of eastern California’s Mojave Desert Geomorphic Province, which overlaps the Sonoran Desert. This geologic landscape is continuous throughout southern Arizona- home of the northern Sonoran Desert. Spend the winter at the beautiful Picacho State Recreation Area. Volunteers are needed to staff the visitor center from October to April. They are required to work 30 hours a week, per person, for a minimum of three months. We are a 103 RV and tent Campground with a market and a Deli and we are seeking a couple to fill the positions of a maintenance person, a camp host/clerk and a cook/cashier. We are a secluded fishing and hiking town located in Northern California on the Lost Coast. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the ocean and the beautiful black sands beaches. There is also a 9 hole golf course next door. The maintenance person would be responsible for general maintenance with minor electrical and plumbing repair. The camp host would be responsible for taking reservations and recording them in our books. The cook position would be two days a week as a cook and the rest as cashier.
