For The 2020 Season, From Mid-May To Mid-October $$

Shubie Park Campground is located in Shubie Park, on the shores of Lake Charles in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, just minutes away from Downtown Halifax. The campground consists of 67 sites with power and water hook-ups, 5 full-service sites, 34 tenting sites and 1 Yurt on a compact 10 acre site. Our office and store offer campground supplies, grocery items, coffee / tea, and includes a small canteen/ ice cream stand. All our washroom facilities are exceptionally clean, have flush toilets and have coin- operated showers. We may retain one couple to work through September until closing early October (Canadian Thanksgiving). Each couple will work 10 hours day (5 hours each) on 4 days/4 days off rotation. Additional hours may be required in response to operational requirements. Requirements: You must have your own good condition RV for accommodation onsite. Honesty, a friendly demeanour, and good customer service skills are essential. You must be capable of working well on a team, relating and working well with others, enforcing our rules, and addressing problem campers in a calm, respectful manner. You must also have the ability to work independently, to accept guidance, direction and supervision and must pass a background check. Men and women who are jack-of-all-trades types are welcomed with open arms. You must be a self-starter with good organizational skills, be in good health and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to supply references. Duties may include: Supporting day-to-day campground operations responsibilities include checking campers in, answering the phone, taking reservations, delivering firewood, nighttime security / quiet-time patrols to enforce our rules, grounds work, lawn and gardening, general maintenance, cleaning restrooms, etc. Compensation: You will receive an RV site including water and a 30/50-amp hookup, free Wi-Fi and free laundry – we do not have FHU sites for workcampers, but a dump station is located on site. Additional hours during busier times and weekends will be paid at $15 per hour per person up to a maximum of 20 hours per week per couple. Preference will be given to a couple with previous campground and/or customer service experience, and an up-to-date police check statement. Preference will also be given to those who have computer, CRM and POS skills and the ability to operate lawn-care machinery.
