Durango KOA Is Looking For A Housekeeping Team And A

Landscaping/Cook Team In Colorado $$

HOUSEKEEPING TEAM - We are looking for additional members to our housekeeping team that are enthusiastic, friendly, detail oriented, hardworking, self-motivated team members who like to enjoy life and have fun while working. We prefer non-smokers. We are a fast paced campground during peak season, team players are essential. We are looking for team members who take pride in their work and that would be responsible for providing our guests with spotless clean facilities. We pride ourselves on clean cabins, bathrooms, laundry facilities, as well as a clean campground. Housekeepers are responsible for overall cleanliness of 4 lodges, one cottage, 9 studio lodges, 4 couple's cabins, 11 camping cabins, two bathhouses, two laundry rooms, TV lounge and the campground including public spaces. Workamper schedule runs from mid April to October 20, 2019. LANDSCAPING/COOK TEAM: We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, detail-oriented, hardworking, self-motivated team members who like to enjoy life and have fun while working. We prefer non-smoking persons. This job would consist of taking care of our landscaping in the park (watering, weeding, some planting at the beginning of the season and deadheading flowers). The cooking would be done at our cook shack in the mornings. Cooking consists of pancakes, bacon, pre-cooked sausage and breakfast sandwiches. Breakfast is served Memorial Day - Labor Day Weekend. Cooking is done five (5) days a week during the season. Work schedule would be 5 days per week with 2 days off. Workamper schedule would run mid- April - October 20, 2019. Compensation - First time workampers with no experience will work a combined total of 24 hours per week for your site. Additional hours paid at $11.10 per hour. You are paid bi-weekly. Hours worked are 25 - 35 hours per week depending on occupancy. Your site will include 30 or 50 amp electric, sewer, water, cable, WiFi. You will receive store and propane discounts, name tags, shirts, hats and free laundry. Experienced workampers will receive free full hook up site, same benefits as above, plus compensation for all hours worked to be discussed at time of interview. Durango KOA is located at an elevation of 6700 feet and provides a panoramic view of the San Juan Mountains. We are located 7 miles east of downtown Durango and the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Durango KOA is located 3 miles from Walmart with lots of shopping in the area. There are over 150 restaurants in Durango and our historic downtown offers plenty of shopping and fun. Mesa Verde National Park is only an hour from our KOA. Silverton and Ouray are within driving distance and are tucked in the San Juan Mountains. There are plenty of activities nearby including hiking, biking, trail rides, museums, art galleries, white water rafting, jeep trails, ATV trails, hot springs and much more. We are situated near Rocky Mountain National Park, The Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, and the Roosevelt/Arapahoe National Forests, while being a short drive from Boulder and Denver. We are currently seeking hosts for next year's 2019 season. In addition to Host berth and full utilities, there is hourly work for the summer season. Our park just underwent a 20-million dollar renovation is a truly an amazing location with river access on three sides, beautiful cliffs, nesting Golden Eagles, and a wonderful community of residents who love our parks and our Town. The Season starts In May and goes through to September on an average Memorial Day through Labor Day. Pay is Minimum wage for both. Having your own vehicle and camper is required. The camp grounds that need host are Along South Platte River Road Near Deckers, CO. the camp grounds included with Day areas are Platte River camp ground with Bridge crossing day use area, Ouzel Camp ground with Scraggy View day use area, Osprey camp ground with Willow Bend day use area.
