The RV lot has 50amp hookup with high speed internet, laundry available, septic, fresh organic eggs and produce as available from the large garden. The ranch is located 30 minutes East of Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida - far enough away to enjoy the peace and quite of the country yet near enough if you’d like to go Ito town to shop or go to dinner. In return for your RV lot and adjacent yard, 15 hours of work per week per person living on the land is required. The maximum hours per day is 3 - so that the work is spread over the week. The people who are happiest here have been collecting a pension, or social security, or work remotely and just love the rural life and go into town every few days or once a week. Goat House Farm Is Looking For A Couple Or Singles In Rural Tallahassee,

Florida

Goat House Farm has one 50amp, 30amp, or 110 site exchange position open for a couple or singles beginning in August-September 2018. We are a small farm situated in a rural area of Tallahassee on Lake Talquin, surrounded by the beautiful Lake Talquin State Forest. Great fishing and hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. We have over 30 goats, one hog, ducks, and chickens. Work is twenty hours a week. You will be responsible for tracking your time (we lose track of it a lot around here). Work includes feeding goats, assisting with milking, cleaning out stable, fence building and repair, weeding and harvesting, general repair work, and basic farm chores. We also have occasional tent/RV campers and one small cabin, so help cleaning when campers leave is appreciated. No experience needed, but a love of animals and the farm life is absolutely required. Must have an open mind and work well with others. We work hard to build a sense of community around here. We provide water, wifi, laundry, kayaks, fresh eggs, and a share of the harvest (we don't eat our animals though!). We do not have sewer available – perfect opportunity for composting toilets, otherwise you will need to tote to our onsite septic. Gray water dumping is fine, but you must use environmentally friendly products. No children, please. No large dogs at the 50amp site as it is in the pasture. Please don't ask – we have already lost a goat to a “well trained, well behaved” camper's dog. May consider a dog at the 30amp site, but is beside the pasture and not fenced, so your dog cannot be a digger. Vandwellers and tenters welcome (we have a tiny bathhouse with hot shower and composting toilet available!). References required. Please send a cover letter telling us about yourself, why you are interested, and a list of references to melissa@goathousefarm.com

Management Area Hunter Check Station In Florida

Needed between September and April, in exchange for a full hookup RV site. We are in Holopaw, FL in central Osceola Co., approximately 18 miles southeast of St. Cloud along Highway US192. Nearby towns include St. Cloud (~18 miles), Orlando (~50 miles) and Melbourne (~25miles). We are within an hour’s drive of Disney World, Universal Studios, theme parks, and beaches. There are four full hook-up RV sites with electricity, sewer, and water. The area is very remote, so if you enjoy the outdoors, a rural lifestyle, and outdoor recreation such as hunting and fishing, this may be the place for you! We have a common trailer for volunteers, which has a refrigerator, stove, restrooms, and laundry facilities. Volunteers’ primary duties will be to monitor recreational use on the management area, provide information to the public, and collect biological data. This includes keeping count of hunters and other recreational users, providing information to hunters and recreational users, and collecting biological data from harvested animals. No previous experience is necessary and training will be provided by staff biologists. However, if hunting is objectionable to you, or if you are reluctant to handle dead animals, then you should not apply. In addition to work at the check station, volunteers may assist with facility maintenance and other tasks as needed. In exchange for hookups and use of facilities, we request at least 32 hours of work each week per campsite. Days of the week worked are somewhat flexible. The heaviest use of the Management Area occurs from September through December, and consequently, some preference may be given to those people who can arrive early in the season. Check station shifts can be long days starting early in the morning and running into the night. It is very possible to reach your 32 hours of volunteer time in just 2 or 3 days. His Promises Peaceful Habitation Ranch Is Looking For An

Active Retired Married Couple In Florida

We are looking for an active retired married couple - spirit-filled! To live on the ranch. The type of tasks to be done include lawn mowing on a cool zero turn mower, feeding the livestock including cows and goats, cleaning the chicken coop, managing the garden - planting and tending to the vegetables, pruning and fertilizing fruits trees, taking out the trash to the road, small maintenance projects, etc. Electric is available for $70-100 per month depending on how much you utilize your air conditioning. We will consider one small (15 lbs or less) well behaved dog to join you. Background check is required. You would need to be on the land - as caretakers - and the expectation is that you would be a consistent presence and not park your rig here and leave for a few weeks and come back. It also would not work if you have full time job in town and then try to fullfill the work requirement in one day. Just sayin’….so that you know ahead of time what is expected. The people who are happiest here have been collecting a pension, or social security, or work remotely and just love the rural life and go into town every few days or once a week. This opportunity is not suitable for children who would be living with you. Visits from grandchildren are of course welcome. The minimum stay is 1 year. Goat House Farm Is Looking For A Couple Or Singles In Rural

Tallahassee, Florida
