Camp Lakeside Is Looking For A Two Person Team For Janitorial And Grounds

We are looking for a 2 person TEAM to work every Monday from
9am-3pm through November 31st as a janitorial and grounds
keeping workforce. (With few additional holiday hours, opening
and closing duties added.) You're "payment" for volunteering
your time working the above hours is a 30 Amp electricity site
with water hook up and sewer dump on site.
This is a volunteer position. To become a volunteer you must
have your own camper and complete Safe Sanctuaries child
protection training. You'll get an assigned site that your camper will be able to stay in until the end
of the volunteer contract. Some positions last through the winter months or start earlier in the
year.

Clinton State Park Is Looking For A 2 Person Team For The Entrance Booth In
Kansas
We are looking for a 2 person TEAM to work every Saturday
from 8 am - 3 pm through October 31st at the Entrance Booth
selling permits and licenses. (With few additional holiday hours,
opening and closing duties added.) You're "payment" for
volunteering your time working the above hours is a 30 Amp
electricity site with water hook up.
This is a volunteer position. To become a volunteer you must
have your own camper and purchase your own vehicle permits
and an annual camping permit. You'll get an assigned staff site
that your camper will be able to stay in until the end of the
volunteer contract. Contracts are normally April 15th – October 15th each year. Some positions
last through the winter months or start earlier in the year.

Camp Host/Work Host Opportunities Are Available At Cheney State Park and
Sand Hills State Park
Camp hosts/work host opportunities for Cheney State Park and Sand Hills State Park. Duties
include mowing, cleaning restrooms, light maintenance duties, selling park permits, camping and
cabin reservations, and providing information to the public.
Minimum Requirements: Computer skills are required, must be responsible, and pass
background check.

Volunteer Position Available at the Milford Nature Center
BUTTERFLY GARDEN /GIFT SHOP VOLUNTEER
Volunteer Work Period: Early May-September
Job Description: Volunteer will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the butterfly garden
within the Butterfly House exhibit and other flower beds surrounding the Milford Nature Center.
Tools will be provided by the Milford Nature Center. Duties will include weeding, fertilizing,
thinning, dead- heading, trimming, mulching, and watering the flowers, planting new plants as
needed (plants purchased by Nature Center), and care of butterfly larvae and chrysalids. The
work schedule is flexible, but will be discussed with the Assistant Director prior to beginning work.
Volunteer will also staff the Nature Center gift shop on weekends (4 hours each day). These
duties include selling books and other items from the gift shop, answering visitor questions, and
performing other miscellaneous duties as needed.
A free full-service campsite (water, electric, sewer and internet) will be provided on site.
Volunteers must provide a safe, licensed, insured vehicle and camping unit and must be at least
18 years old. Applicants must be physically capable of performing duties. Volunteers must be able
to work the entire work period and must have a friendly attitude with the public and portray a
positive image of Kansas Dept. of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism (KDWPT). Training will be provided.
Work will be performed according to safety guidelines provided by KDWPT.
