Wolf Creek NFH Visitor/Environmental Education Center Is Looking For 2

Person Teams For Summer 2019 In Kentucky

*Gap Coverage Needed* July-August 2019 Join the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service volunteer team at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery Visitor/Environmental Education Center! We are currently seeking 2 person teams to help staff our Center and assist in our outreach activities with openings for the summer season of 2019 and beyond. Duties Meeting/greeting the public; answering questions; performing majority of cleaning (does include Center restrooms) and minor maintenance; leading tours and helping with field trips; caring for live education animals; assisting in day-to-day operation of Center gift shop; stocking/tracking/ordering brochures; helping to plan special events, workshops and other outreach programs. Compensation Workamper volunteers receive a FHU campsite including onsite laundry and limited WiFi, in exchange for 20-27 hours/person/week. Propane hookup available during the winter months. Location Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery sets in the Cumberland River valley, just below Wolf Creek Dam on Lake Cumberland. This area boasts stunning scenic views and offers plentiful wildlife observation opportunities. With Lake Cumberland, the Cumberland River, and Hatchery Creek in your backyard, it's certainly an angler's paradise. Nestled in the south central hills of Kentucky, this location proves to be central to many regional features including other federal and state lands, as well as private attractions, providing ample opportunity for day trips during your down time. Brooks Mobile & RV Park In Louisville, Kentucky Has A Camp Host Opening

Starting The 16th Of March 2019

Camp Host wanted in a safe country setting just outside of Louisville KY city limits with easy access to I-65 yet close to all attractions and restaurants. The Camp Host is needed to answer phones and make reservations and occasionally taking applications for long term RVers and home rentals, keeping guests happy, and picking up litter. We do not have bathrooms or showers, so this will be an easy gig. This job is a part time position. The park has a really great maintenance man and manager in place. We offer free rent, free internet, a laptop to use, and a free home phone or cell phone credit in exchange for your help. We could have some hourly paid work doing handyman, landscaping, and home cleaning possibly too. Louisville KY is a very nice place to live with lots of fun things to do and great places to eat. We are open all year and located in an exclusive area in the Greater Louisville area with easy access to I-65. We also have monitored security cameras which will be installed on the laptop. We are mostly full hook up RV sites with some mobile homes as well in the park which are being thinned out. It is very expensive to live and visit Louisville with the lowest 1 star hotel prices starting at $80, so we get a lot of business, and we need help with the phones for at least a year or more. The Bittersweet Cabin Village Is Looking For Volunteer Couple At Historic

The Bittersweet Cabin Village in Renfro Valley, Kentucky is searching for a volunteer couple to assist with the day to day operations of our historic cabin village. As this is a volunteer position, there is no pay associated with the hours, but you will be compensated with housing, including a partially furnished house including all utilities, TV, and internet. This is a historic cabin village, so we may ask that you do things according to the time period (see below). Daily you will be expected to open the store and each of the cabins and set up for the day. Current hours are Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm. There may be some additional hours or change of hours if we see they are needed by visitors or when there is a concert at the nearby venue. Job description as follows and includes, but not limited to: Store: Open the store and set up for the day. Light cleaning including dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, stocking, and reorganizing inventory is required. Will need the skills to use a tablet-based point of sale system for guest purchases. Will answer guest questions about the area and lead them to other tourist destinations in the county and possibly state. Encourage guests to visit the cabins. Cabins: Tidy, clean, and maintain cabins. This may include light cleaning, maintenance including carpentry, sanding, painting, and other duties as assigned to keep cabins up. An understanding of basic maintenance duties is required. Grounds: Some trimming, mowing, planning, pruning, and other lawn and grounds duties required. This is a small space and, if kept up, can be done in a day. These grounds hours are to be completed during opening hours and, if possible, done in a way that is consistent with the time period. A small vegetable garden will be required, and produce will be sold in the store as it becomes available. This is a very unique opportunity for a couple who is self-motivated. You will be required to manage your own time and, for the most part, manage yourselves. Out of the box thinkers encouraged to apply! Costumes may be required for some weekends and will be provided by the Rockcastle County Tourism Commission. Resumes will be accepted starting 2/1/19 to 3/8/19. We are a very laid back and relaxing campground somewhat off the beaten path. Depending on your skills, you will be doing one or more of the following campground tasks: Groundskeeping, Front Office/ Reservations, Hosting, Housekeeping, or General Maintenance. We provide a FHU 30/50amp site with WIFI, Cable TV, and a laundry allowance for 18 hours of work per couple per week.
