The Bittersweet Cabin Village Is Looking For Volunteer Couple At Historic

The Bittersweet Cabin Village in Renfro Valley, Kentucky is searching for a volunteer couple to assist with the day to day operations of our historic cabin village. As this is a volunteer position, there is no pay associated with the hours, but you will be compensated with housing, including a partially furnished house including all utilities, TV, and internet. This is a historic cabin village, so we may ask that you do things according to the time period (see below). Daily you will be expected to open the store and each of the cabins and set up for the day. Current hours are Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm. There may be some additional hours or change of hours if we see they are needed by visitors or when there is a concert at the nearby venue. Job description as follows and includes, but not limited to: Store: Open the store and set up for the day. Light cleaning including dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, stocking, and reorganizing inventory is required. Will need the skills to use a tablet-based point of sale system for guest purchases. Will answer guest questions about the area and lead them to other tourist destinations in the county and possibly state. Encourage guests to visit the cabins. Cabins: Tidy, clean, and maintain cabins. This may include light cleaning, maintenance including carpentry, sanding, painting, and other duties as assigned to keep cabins up. An understanding of basic maintenance duties is required. Grounds: Some trimming, mowing, planning, pruning, and other lawn and grounds duties required. This is a small space and, if kept up, can be done in a day. These grounds hours are to be completed during opening hours and, if possible, done in a way that is consistent with the time period. A small vegetable garden will be required, and produce will be sold in the store as it becomes available. This is a very unique opportunity for a couple who is self-motivated. You will be required to manage your own time and, for the most part, manage yourselves. Out of the box thinkers encouraged to apply! Renfro Valley KOA Holiday Is Looking For Workcampers In Kentucky $$

We are seeking enthusiastic, customer-service oriented workcampers (preferable couples) who enjoy working and playing in Renfro Valley, Kentucky- noted for its beautiful, scenic landscape and home to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. We are currently hiring teams for the following jobs: housekeeping/landscaping team customer service teams (both indoor and out) food service team Specific duties of the above jobs can/may include: escorting campers to their campsite and assist them in parking performing light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work assist in the planning of activities, events, and crafts provide excellent guest service over the phone and in person follow procedures for cleaning and prepping cabins and athhouse daily Requirements of most job duties include: ability to lift 25lbs, lift and carry 10lbs occasionally, and carry 5lbs regularly ability to work independently and as part of a team excellent communication skills general knowledge of camping and campgrounds attention to detail These are just some of the job duties and requirements of most of the jobs at the Renfro Valley KOA Holiday. A specific job description will be provided to anyone who may want to see it prior to sending a resume. This is a contracted position and workers will sign a 6 month contract at the beginning of the season. Hours may vary from week to week, but you will not be scheduled for more than 32 hours (except special event weekends). For the most part, couples will be scheduled the same hours with the same lunch and break times. We will GUARANTEE 2 days off, back-to-back, so you can explore beautiful Kentucky! With the exception of special event weekends, you will have a set schedule. Workcampers will receive a full hook-up site with Wi-Fi and cable, free laundry, a 25% discount on most items in the store and on propane, and hourly compensation. We ask 10 hours per person (for couples) or 20 hours per person (singles) for your site. Hours after 10 or 20 will be paid at $7.50-$8.00 per hour. Falls Campground, Located in Fallsburg KY, is looking for work campers for

the upcoming season (May - October)

We are a very laid back and relaxing campground somewhat off the beaten path. Depending on your skills, you will be doing one or more of the following campground tasks: Groundskeeping, Front Office/ Reservations, Hosting, Housekeeping, or General Maintenance. We provide a FHU 30/50amp site with WIFI, Cable TV, and a laundry allowance for 18 hours of work per couple per week.
