Greenleaf State Park Is Currently Looking For Seasonal Camp Hosts In
Oklahoma Starting March 1st
Greenleaf State Park is currently looking for seasonal Customer
Service Hosts. This is a non-paid, volunteer position. (March 1-
October 31)
Requirements
•
Must pass background check
•
Maintain camp sites (mow, weed-eat, pick up trash, blow off
tables/cement pads, clean out grills when needed, keep
restrooms maintained)
•
Assist and respond to customer questions
•
Assist with online reservations
•
Communicate with maintenance staff
•
Follow safety rules
One free camp site, with full hook-ups is provided for each Camp Host. Camp Hosts must provide
their own campers. Two vehicles, max, are allowed for the camp host sites with parking pass fees
waived. No storage or pens allowed at camp host sites.

Gibson RV Park Is Looking For A Park Host In Oklahoma $$
Gibson RV Park at the Lake in Wagoner, OK has 42 sites with yards. Located four miles from
Wagoner, OK. Its 1 mile from Lake Ft. Gibson, 3 marinas, state Lodge, in the Taylors Ferry area.
Most customers are full time weekenders, workers, and live in customers. It’s an adult park with
exception to few visiting children. Very little activity of people moving in and out from RV Park. Our
park is quiet and laid back.
Gibson RV Park only supplies the lots, metered electric, water, sewer by septic and trash with
onsite park host year-round. Cable tv is available to all sites except 10 serviced between customer
and the cable provider. We do not have wi-fi, shower houses or laundry. Propane is a delivered
service provided by a 3rd party vendor.
Duties would be to:
•
Speaking with customers and potential customers. This can include using your cell phone
and face to face
•
Showing sites
•
Helping someone to park RV or showing setting up process for utilities. Its seldom but it can
happen
•
Check people in. This requires handing out contract and check or cash handling. Inform
owner of a check out
•
Some rent collection by customer coming to pay invoice
•
On occasion read electric meters at each site when asked
•
Keeping rules and regulations enforced
•
Pick up loose trash around park
•
Just basic managing without any invoicing customers
•
Park Host is the Owners onsite eyes and ears
•
Our Park Host opportunity is not seasonal but needed year around
Park Host has access to golf cart to help you perform all duties.
Owner performs invoicing and most rent collection.
Park Host duties does not include the following but for those looking to make extra money WE
CAN TALK:
Our park has maintenance ground keepers. Summer is mowing season. Fall is tree trimming and
leaf removal. Spray for weed kill. Brush hog field. Front end loader operator for site gravel needs.
Box blade operator for interior roads as needed.

FREE RV SITE & $100.00 PER MONTH

Lake McMurtry Natural Resource & Recreation Area Is Looking For Camp Host

(must provide own RV/Camper)

Position Availability: Seasonal
Position Duration: April – October
Time Commitment: At least 24 hours of service time per week that include evenings, most
weekends, and all holidays during the season. Days off will be discussed upon hiring – must be
submitted two weeks prior to time off.
Supervision and Training Provided: Supervised by managerial staff. Will be trained in
campground registration procedures, rules & regulations, and host responsibilities.
Main Duties:
1.
Greet and assist visitors – the most important responsibility you will have is to provide quality
customer service. We require good people skills.
2.
Responding to noise complaints after hours
3.
Answer questions and explain rules & regulations
4.
Distribute maps and informational brochures
5.
Direct visitors to appropriate destinations
6.
Be familiar with the area – be able to give information to visitors about local tourist
attractions, events, grocery stores, gas stations, etc.
7.
Light maintenance around campground – picking up litter, cleaning out fire rings, washing
tables, cleaning & stocking restrooms, etc.
8.
Be the liaison between park visitors and park staff – notify when trees need to be trimmed,
comments from visitors (positive or negative), trail maintenance, etc.
Additional Duties: These duties may come up during your season but will not occur often:
1.
Filling in at the bait shop/gatehouse – only when part time staff are unavailable – will be
compensated at the minimum wage rate.

Assist in educational activities/special events

Working Conditions: Work is mostly outside in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions. Walking
or bicycling is required. Must reside in campground.
Skills Required: Ability to get along well with people. Ability to remain calm and friendly when
confronted with upset visitors. Ability to physically move around and make rounds through the
recreation area. Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
Expectations: Camp hosts must set an example by being model campers who practice good
housekeeping at all times in and around their campsite. Camp hosts must not attempt to discipline
or apprehend any park violators – for any disturbances, camp hosts are to call the Stillwater Police
Department and the manager on call. Camp hosts will be required to drive between the East &
West Recreation Areas (at their own expense) – unless two camp hosts are hired on.

Cherokee Landing State Park is Looking for Camp Host and Office Host
Volunteer camp host and office host positions are available
immediately at Cherokee Landing State Park. Work 20 hours
per week in exchange for your campsite, and have an
enjoyable summer at an Oklahoma State Park.
Camp Host position collects camping fees, sets out reservation
signs and answers questions.
Office host will work in the office collecting fees, assisting in
making reservations and gift sales.
A 3 month commitment is required, along with an application and background check (cost $18).
