Hersheypark Camping Is Looking For Work Campers For Spring/Fall 2021 In

This position is responsible for cleaning, grounds keeping, and providing maintenance to all areas of the Hersheypark Camping Resort. This is a seasonal position which can start as soon as mid-March 2021(and as late as May 2021) and last thru mid-December 2021(or as early as September 2021). Applicants can expect to work limited hours mid-March 2021 thru early May 2021, and full hours (40 per week) May 2021 thru mid-September 2021. Limited working hours are then available again from mid- September 2021 thru December 2021. Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and will include weekends and holidays. Schedule is based off business demand and will vary week to week. Workampers receive an hourly wage plus a Full Hook Up Site w/ 50 AMP electrical service, water, sewer, cable & WiFi. Job Functions: Detailed cleaning of cabins, bath houses and public spaces Picking up trash Cleaning fire pits Operating lawn equipment to include lawn mowers, string trimmers, chain saws, and hedge saws General Maintenance Washing dishes and doing laundry Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor Provide guest site escort as needed by front desk team Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver’s license Additional Qualifications: Organizational skills Positive, professional employee and guest relations skills Capable of working alone and as a team. Lake Heron Retreat is seeking a friendly, reliable couple to work together as a team, or individually, to help us maintain our small campground and welcome guests. We are a private non-profit Christian campground located on a 10 acre lake in south-central PA. We have 10 RV sites, a pavilion with tent camping, two primitive cabins, three tent sites, and a remote tent site. One of our most popular features is the quiet and private atmosphere of our 240 acre wooded property. Many of our campers return annually or even several times a year to enjoy the fishing, swimming, and hiking. We are open from May 1 through October 31. We will consider commitments for either the full 6 months (one couple for May-Oct) or 3 months (one couple for May-July, and another couple for Aug-Oct). Job Duties: cleaning bathrooms, privies, and cabins, grounds keeping (trimming grass, cleaning fire rings), helping guests with boat rentals and equipment, enforcing rules, helping with special events and volunteer work days, helping to bundle firewood and keep firewood boxes full, and performing light maintenance and repairs. Camp Host Wanted at YMCA Camp Sherwin in Pennsylvania

YMCA Camp Sherwin is located in Lake City, PA on the shores of Lake Erie, between Walnut Creek and Elk Creek Access areas. It is a public campground with tent, RV, Seasonal Sites, and Cabins. Facilities are also available for weddings and group events. YMCA Summer Camp Day Programs also are operated from this site. Camp Sherwin also holds wellness programs, community events and weekend family activities for all ages and interest groups. Host Couples will set an example by being model campers observing all rules and regulations. Our volunteer hosts must be a team such as a husband and wife. Must be over 21 years old. The schedule will be flexible enough for hosts to still enjoy the many resources of Erie County. Camp Sherwin Campground hosts perform a variety of tasks, such as greeting customers, coordinating weekend activities/events, and cleaning up cabins/campsites. They will also perform light maintenance work around the campground such as sweeping and stocking supplies at the shower houses, pond maintenance, court maintenance, yard work, help setting up the halls for rentals, helping with small construction projects, making emergency minor repairs when possible, informing the Camp Director about potential problems, and various other duties. Hosts need to become familiar with local points of interest and the location where local services can be obtained, e.g. fuel, lp, laundromat, groceries. On duty hours include weekend hours and holiday hours and will be mutually agreed between the manager and host. The manager will approve specific duty hours and assignments for an average of 30 hours per week. Inside/Office Position: This position is an active position at our reservation front desk and requires a happy personality. You know how it goes “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Job Details: computerized reservation system for the booking of reservations, checking in arriving customers, checking out departing customers, some word processing, answering emails, back office organization such as (filing, maintaining housekeeping records, and petty cash maintenance). Along with the camping duties we have a retail store that would require retail sales to be recorded using the same reservation software and candy counter sales. This is the bulk of the position and these duties once training has ended can be performed most of the time by one person. There are times like Friday check-in and Holidays when more help will be provided. The hours for this position are 25-30hrs/week. More hours are possible. Scheduling is done between the three people that alternate in this position. Every attempt is made to make the schedule fare and enjoyable for all. Days off are usually consecutive and decided upon your arrival. Outside Maintenance Position: This position involves the general upkeep of the campsites and cleaning of restrooms/cabins when the main cleaning crew is unable to perform their regular duties. Other duties will include grass trimming, hayrides using our golf cart, and the running of certain children’s activities. The hours for this position are 25-30hrs/week. More hours are possible. One of the most important jobs is our pump out service for the seasonals. This is done once a week and we use state of the art equipment so it’s easy and clean. Below is an example of what a representative work week could look like: OUTSIDE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE This is not your schedule and just attempts to show what a typical day could be.
