We are Looking for Workampers that enjoy a fun working environment, smile easily, have a good attitude, goal oriented and want to MAKE IT GREAT! Openings for our 2019 season (May 1st to October 15th). Our Founder's Award winner campground covers 45 acres of prairie land surroundings and has 60 sites. We are actively using about 20 acres for our campground. There is always something to do. We have a pretty active RV park for our size. **Please note this is a high paced working environment, with majority of the time the park being at full capacity.** Your job will entail working various positions as needed, including food service, registration, housekeeping, landscaping and general campground duties. Grounds maintenance workers: Trees, bushes, plants and flowers to maintain as well as lots of grass to mow and water, gravel roads to level and fill pot holes. Housekeeping: Cabins, shower/bath houses and laundry facility cleaning Front Desk: Answering phone, making reservations, checking-in guests, store sales, and assist in kitchen if needed, cleaning and stocking store/kitchen area Guest Services: filling propane, escorting guests to their site, assisting with problems (site, electrical, cable, etc.). Food Service: prepping kitchen, making food, cleaning kitchen, delivery. (We are currently selling fresh, made to order pizzas, working on expanding our menu for the next season.) Must be good with customer relations and willing to be a team player with everyone working together to ensure that our guests have a positive camping experience. Must be a self- starter and able to determine the priorities of the different tasks during your shift without being told. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 regularly. Able to push and pull up to 100 pounds. Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. Requires the use of hands/finders to handle or feel objects. Long periods of standing, bending, kneeling and walking required. Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates. Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain. COMPENSATION Up to 40 hours per week per person available. Some overtime may be offered during peak holidays or events. Hourly wage paid @ $10/hr. Full-hookup site with cable, Wi-Fi, electricity included. (first 5 hours/person per week pays for site) Scheduled days off together. 20% employee store discount This Journey KOA is primary overnight campground away from big cities - tranquil country setting. Getting to the Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA is easy off, easy on, just 1/2 mile north off I- 90, Exit 170. All the RV sites are long pull through with free cable TV and Wi-Fi. During the summer months we serve pizza in our cafe. There's a fenced-in area where your dogs can run loose and exercise. While in-route to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park or Devils Tower, this campground is the best stop for exploring a re-created 1880 town before visiting the Badlands and the famous Wall Drug Store. You'll see plenty of wildlife. Birders can look for their favorite feathered friends, along with deer, coyotes and more. We have a large solar panel heated pool, playground, bike rentals and game room to keep the kids happy. One in office taking reservations and one showing rvs to their space and cleaning showers, restrooms may be some mowing and weed eating for free full hookup site, free wifi, laundry and propane. No guarantee of extra hours but would be paid at $10 per hr for any extra hours. We are in the northeast corner of South Dakota on I-29 at Summit a small farm town 30 miles north of Watertown and Walmart and many shopping opportunities.
