Friends of Cedar Mesa is seeking long-term volunteers who would like to help protect and steward Bears Ears National Monument and other public lands in San Juan County, UT. Volunteer work includes assisting visitors in our Education Center (approximately 60% of your time, more in the summer), hiking to popular local archaeological sites along Comb Ridge and in Cedar Mesa and educating visitors on how to “visit with respect“, and joining service projects and public land monitoring projects. This volunteer work requires a moderate to more strenuous activity level, and includes being outdoors in all seasons. We’re seeking people with good communication and interpersonal skills to provide information in a friendly, positive manner. You should be flexible, self-reliant, independent, and willing to pitch in on whatever task is needed as everyone in a small non-profit wears many hats. For your hard work, FCM will provide you with a level RV site with full hook ups, and wi-fi. You must provide your own RV or trailer as alternative housing is not available. Bryce Canyon National Park Needs Several Camp Hosts For Early Season

Positions

Several early-season camp host positions are now available at Bryce Canyon National Park. Volunteers work a 3 day on/3 day off schedule leaving adequate time to explore the Park and surrounding area. Hosts would start ASAP and be on-site until July 15. In exchange for 32+ hours a week of volunteer work hosts are provided a full service site for an RV/camper (electric, propane, water, and sewer). Responsibilities include camper check in, visitor education, and general campground/ recreation management duties. After 250 hours of volunteer service hosts are provided with a Volunteer Pass. Bryce Canyon National Park Needs Several Camp Hosts For

Early Season Positions

Several early-season camp host positions are now available at Bryce Canyon National Park. Volunteers work a 3 day on/3 day off schedule leaving adequate time to explore the Park and surrounding area. Hosts would start ASAP and be on-site until July 15. In exchange for 32+ hours a week of volunteer work hosts are provided a full service site for an RV/camper (electric, propane, water, and sewer). Responsibilities include camper check in, visitor education, and general campground/ recreation management duties. After 250 hours of volunteer service hosts are provided with a Volunteer Pass. Utah State Parks

Camphosts Greet park visitors and provide information regarding the park and surrounding areas. Collect user fees. Assist in the maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep of the campground. Oversee campground activities to deter any vandalism from occurring. Most of our parks have full hookups for campground hosts in exchange for 30 or more hours a week of volunteer efforts.
