Cedar & Spruce Consulting Ltd Is Looking For A Camp Host At Sugar Lake 2 Mile Recreation Site In British Columbia

Sugar Lake 2 Mile Recreation SiteFREE LAKESIDE CAMPSITE FOR THE SEASON?? We are seeking a Camp Host at Sugar Lake 2 Mile Recreation Site, North of Cherryville. This pristine lake is surrounded by mountains with endless outdoor activities. Love fishing? How about kayaking or hiking? Or do you prefer to explore on your ATV? This could be the season you have been waiting for!

What we are looking for:

  • We are looking for a self-motivated couple, 2-person team, or an individual who is interested in living on-site as a host at a campground on Sugar Lake.
  • The host position is from May 1 until the end of September
  • The position includes a free lakefront campsite for the season
  • The position includes a daily pay rate depending on experience
  • The daily amount of work is 4-8 hours depending on the time of the season (the rest of the time is yours to enjoy!)
  • The host site is waterfront and has very limited cell coverage (there is wifi and full cell coverage can be found 5 minutes down the road)
  • The campsite has no services
  • The host must have their own self-contained camping unit (RV, Travel Trailer, Motorhome)
  • There is a golf cart/Toro provided for daily campground work, however, the host should have a truck and be willing to use it for minimal work around the campground.
  • All work tools and supplies will be provided

Host Duties:

  • Check-in of Guests at campsites at the main campground
  • Additional campsites are located down the road that will need to be visited daily. A KM rate will be paid (3-minute drive MAX)
  • Be able to enforce rules and regulations
  • Clean and maintain washrooms
  • Sell Firewood
  • The host site and camping unit must be kept clean and presentable

What we are looking for:

  • A couple, pair, or individual who has a general love for the outdoors and camping
  • The host(s) must be personable and have good communication skills
  • The host must be honest, dependable, and in good physical shape
  • The position has a daily pay rate as mentioned above and covers 4-8 hours a day of work depending on the time of the season
  • Previous campground hosting experience is an asset but not necessary
  • Full training will be provided
