Campsite Host Positions – Duties and Job expectations
Employment Term: April – October – Nanaimo and Lake Cowichan
$2200 per month – Full-time, Fixed Term Contract, Seasonal

You must have your own self-contained unit for this position. Sites are non-serviced.
- This is a full time; on-site position and a campsite will be provided for the duration of the season.
- Provide the highest customer service to our campers
- Attend to all aspects of running the campground
- Possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Guest registration and reservation using a web-based system and proficient with online email platforms.
- Revenue collections, writing receipts and cash reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance of posted rules for campers
- Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and structures on-site
- Performing campsite maintenance by mowing, mulching, weeding, leaf blowing, raking, edging, pruning, outhouse cleaning and repairs, cleaning out outhouses, picnic table building/repairs/painting.
- Clean and maintain roadways and trails
- Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, electric clippers, pruning saws, and power tools
- Perform other seasonal duties and special projects assigned – Pre/Post Season tasks
- Comply with all safety guidelines and be proficient in emergency procedures
- Able work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a high level of work ethic and attention to detail
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Must be physically able to lift moderately heavy items
- Must be capable of movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs when required
Experience in these jobs an asset:
