Dungeness River Nature Center Is Looking For A Park Host In Washington

Start Date: May 1st 2025
Position Duration: May to October 2025(future positions welcome to apply Aug. – January and November – April)
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest while supporting an organization dedicated to environmental education and conservation. If you’re a nature lover, this is a great opportunity to connect with the community and help foster a love for the great outdoors.
Enjoy a spacious RV site nestled in the beautiful Railroad Bridge Park, right off the Olympic Discovery Trail. Access outdoor activities like running, biking, and wildlife watching right at your doorstep!
On your off days, explore the stunning North Olympic Peninsula, including Olympic National Park, picturesque beaches, lush forests, and mountains.

Position Overview: As a host, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the park is welcoming, safe, and well-maintained. You’ll engage with visitors, answer questions, and help create memorable experiences during peak hours, weekends, and evenings. This is a seasonal unpaid position that requires a 20-hour weekly commitment in exchange for a free site with full hookups. The workload is overall light, and these hours can be accomplished by one person or split between two people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a Park Ambassador
  • Monitor Park Activities
  • Facilities & Grounds Maintenance
  • Technology Use
  • Extra Duties: As assigned or approved by Operations Manager to fulfill 20-hour weekly commitment per host (or couple).

If your scheduled shift falls on a holiday you are expected to work the holiday.
