DENT ACRES CAMPGROUND
Our first area where we recruit long term volunteers is Dent Acres Campground which is a full hookup, full-service campground consisting of 50 campsites, day use area, boat ramp and group campground.
1. Dent Acres Maintenance Campground Host- This position includes cleaning campsites and fire rings, picking up litter, emptying garbage cans, mowing lawns, operating a weed eater, trimming branches, painting, and using the blower. Transportation and supplies for completing tasks are provided.
2. Dent Acres Fee Collection Campground Host – This position includes assisting visitors with checking in and checking out of campsites, putting out reservation tags, collecting fees, answering the phone, and general questions about the facility and the area.
VISITOR CENTER
Our second area is adjacent to the Dworshak Dam on the southern end of the reservoir which includes two types of volunteer opportunities. We need couples for the visitor center positions in order to properly staff the visitor center and give tours. WiFi is available in the volunteer village at the Visitor Center.

Visitor Center Tour Guide/Information- Your main job duties as Visitor Center volunteers are to greet visitors, give tours, and to assist in the daily operations of the visitor center which includes, but is not limited to: answering visitor questions, operating the telephone system and two way radios, turning on lights, operating audio-visual equipment, unlocking, and locking doors. During the tour season, we give 2 tours daily of the dam, the dam is ¾ of a mile long, so you will need to be prepared to walk at least a few miles each day.
