Volunteer site hosts are the special people that do those small chores around the park that make the guests comfortable. They are the eyes and ears of the park operator; they greet guest, do some collecting of fees, some fire wood sales and assist in ensuring the park is safe and clean. Experience is preferred. We are looking for a site host to say at the Fort Campground from mid-May to the mid-September. The successful candidate is required to stay the full duration of the camping season.
A complimentary campsite will be provided as compensation. Campsite includes power on site. Access to drinking water and sani-dump is available. The site host will be asked to be available for a minimum of 4 hours a day/7 days per week, between 7pm and 11pm. But must be available between the hours of 11pm and 7am, in case of emergencies or issues arise. Must have own self-contained RV.
What we ask of you:
- Late check-ins and payment processing
- Site host must possess strong communication skills, demonstrate a courteous and helpful attitude towards all visitors.
- Become familiar with the park, its regulations, facilities and recreational opportunities.
- Maintain a good working relationship and open communication with park operator.
- Contribute to ensuring the park area is safe, clean and functional; report problems and any unsafe or hazardous conditions as soon as they are discovered.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and how to carry them out when necessary.
- Assist Town staff to maintain public order, and communicate Town policies regarding noise and pet management to campers and visitors.
- Undergo a criminal record check.
