Island Creek Marina (not a campground)
Greetings, we (my wife and I) own a small (18 slips) marina on the Patuxent river in Calvert County, MD (southern MD) just a short way up river from Solomons Island on the Chesapeake Bay. We are RV folks and were looking for a retired person/couple to act as caretakers for the marina when we are periodically away. This is a seasonal business operating from May 1 through October 31. The marina is private (check out the website) with a slowed down way about it. No public access or daily traffic. All our clients are under annual contracts, some being with us for over 15 years.

We are looking for a friendly person(s) to just keep an eye on things and notify us of any concerns if we are away. Often times we will be here with you. There is no “work” except to police up the grounds and check on the bathrooms. There is no store or retail business on site. We have a landscaping service maintaining the grounds.

We have several RV hook up options available for you. We will include electric and water in exchange for your presence and inviting attitude. There is employment available in the area should you want to work so long as someone is on site. Ok to bring a small boat along if you like.
