If you’re a Camp Host Couple, you may very well be the couple we’re looking for to assist our management with the operation of this popular campground.
Duluth Indian Point Campground (DIPC) is operated by Spirit Lake Development. We are located within the city limits, on the St. Louis River. The St. Louis River is the largest freshwater estuary in the country, flowing into Lake Superior, six miles away. Duluth is known for its 100’s of miles of hiking and biking trails, has a vibrant arts and festival community complimented by great restaurants and brew houses — you’ll get to enjoy the quiet solitude of nature right in a bustling tourist community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Greet and welcome visitors to the campground respectfully.
•Assist campers at check-in/out by providing helpful information and answering questions about things to do around the area, and what to explore.
•Explain park rules and regulations.
•Notify maintenance of necessary repairs and replacements of equipment as needed.
•Act as after-hours contact for emergencies within the campground. Contact proper authorities by telephone in event of emergencies.
•Maintain communication with management and other staff.
You’ll do well in this position if you:
•Enjoy and respect communication and interactions with other individuals; customers and other staff.
•Have an ability to positively and effectively convey information and handle complaints.
•Have the ability and confidence to work independently.
•Have a happy disposition and self-motivated, flow with challenges and solve them creatively.
•Organized, resourceful, good at accomplishing tasks, keeping vital areas orderly.
•Must be at least 25 years; teachers and retirees are welcomed.
•Physically fit for light-duty work.
•Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
•Previous experience in campground hosting is desired.
•Knowledge of camping preferred.
Conditions Of Employment:
•Must possess your own RV Camper
•Must possess a valid form of identification
•Must successfully complete a background examination
•Must comply with resort campground policies.
