Immediate Opening: Site Hosts Wanted for Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites
Come enjoy the beautiful spring, gorgeous views, unique history, and hometown hospitality of La Grange, Texas! Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites are day-use only sites which include a historic home, the ruins of one of Texas’s earliest breweries, a monument and tomb of Texas Republic soldiers, hiking trails, and picnic areas.
We are looking for a couple site hosts to begin volunteering immediately. Responsibilities may include grounds keeping, general repair, visitor services, and/or light custodial work. Among other responsibilities, Site Hosts will support major events including Easter on the Bluff and the first annual Bluff Schuetzenfest. Water, electricity, sewer connection, and internet access are provided by the Site.
Location: La Grange, TX (approx. 1 hour drive from Austin)
Volunteer Requirement: 24 hours/week (hours may be split between couple)
Duty Length: ideally 6 months beginning in April, though flexible
