Municipality of Anchorage, Centennial Campground Is Looking For Work Campers In Alaska

The Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska (MOA), Department of Parks and Recreation is inviting Working RV couples and individuals to explore seasonal volunteer and employment opportunities in Anchorage, Alaska. We are hiring for a variety of seasonal roles, including Recreational Specialists, Horticulture/Gardeners, Day Camp Recreational Specialists, Park Caretakers, Campground and Park Hosts, Park and Facility Maintenance staff, and Lifeguards. Work hours vary by position, ranging from 24 to 40 hours per week. To help you make the most of your Alaskan adventure, we provide flexible schedules with up to four days off per week, employee roles include paid time off, and employer sponsored training for 1st Aid/CPR requirements. These RV-friendly positions come with a limited number of complimentary campsites at the city-owned Centennial Campground, available throughout your seasonal employment. Additionally, work campers enjoy free access to fresh water, grey/black water disposal, showers at the campground or one of our indoor recreation centers, and recreation passes for complimentary use of rec center facilities and equipment. Campsites at Centennial Campground are non-electric, though some Volunteer Park Host positions offer electric hookups.

Located in Southcentral Alaska, Anchorage provides convenient driving access to the renowned Kenai Peninsula to the south and Denali National Park & Preserve to the north. The area boasts local King and Coho (Silver) Salmon fisheries, as well as numerous lakes ideal for Trout fishing. Bordering Anchorage to the east, Chugach State Park features extensive hiking and mountain biking trails, opportunities for wildlife viewing, and breathtaking vistas of Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range.
