North Lake RV Park and Campground Is Looking For Work Campers In Washington
Want to work and play in the best surroundings of North East Washington? Look no further!
Office hours of operation are from 9 am to 6 pm daily. You MUST be familiar with a desktop computer with skills to include typing with accuracy, punctuation, grammar and speed (no 2 finger typers). Taking reservations requires collecting precise information, excellent phone etiquette, payment accuracy, and customer service for all ages.
Reservation Program: We operate our park using Campground Master. If you are not familiar with this program, we will train you. You must have adequate knowledge of Word, Excel and Gmail to work effectively with Campground Master. Typing with accuracy and speed is essential and the program is very easy to navigate.
Food Handlers Permit: We require all our camp hosts to obtain a WA State Food Handlers Permit. We will pay for the cost of the permit, and this will allow you to: bag ice, operate the popcorn machine, prepare Smore kits, and any other food-related activities that may arise.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lawn care (mowing and weed control)
- Light duty maintenance
- Cabin cleaning (most have lofts)
- Cabin laundry
- Bathroom/shower/laundry room cleaning
- Managing the office/store and checking in guests
- Escorting guest
- Bagging ice
- Splitting and bundling firewood
- Garbage collection
- Pine cone and pine needle pick up
- Other duties assigned as needed
Camp Host Work Schedule:
We offer a 2 shift rotating 3:3 work week, 3 days on, 3 days off. 4 hr. workday (per team) to equal 12 hrs. in a work week and 16 hrs. in a 7-day calendar week. The hours are counted and worked as a team. Here is an example of a typical workday:
10:00 am – 2:00 pm:
- Collect garbage.
- Check dog park for water and misc.
- Clean Outhouse.
- Clean bathrooms/showers/laundry.
- Clean cabins as needed.
- Start laundry from cabins as needed.
- Check and turn RV sites as they empty out.
2:00 pm – 6:00 pm:
- Office. Check in guests and be available for camp shoppers.
- Yard and Site care as needed.
- 2nd garbage run as needed.
- Escort campers to their site.
- Ice and Firewood delivery as requested.
- Bundle and stock firewood as needed.
Duties and hours may vary and are subject to change. In addition, we, the owners, will be taking a day off each week and need to leave the park in capable hands!
Day Off Activity Suggestions:
- Check out a canoe and explore the lake.
- Check out any of our indoor/outdoor games
- Take a trip across the border to Canada, it’s only 23 miles away.
- Explore waterfalls in the area.
- Take in the ambiance of our pioneer towns of Republic, Colville, Kettle Falls, and neighboring towns.
- Need retail therapy: 90-mile drive to beautiful North Spokane.
- Hiking, biking, 4 wheeling, fishing, swimming, etc.
So much more to see and do!
Camp Host Perks include:
- Full hook up RV site to include power, water, sewer and garbage (valued at $900 p/month).
- $60 laundry allowance p/month beginning the 1st of each month.
- Free WiFi connection.
- Firewood limited allowance.
- Ice limited allowance.
- Store allowance of $15 p/month.
- Free canoe rental.
- 1 North Lake RV Park polo style shirt to wear on Friday (busiest arrival day) or Holiday check in times. 1 camp t-shirt to wear for fun and 1 camp hat. We provide magnetic name tags to be worn when working.
- You are provided with a set of walkie-talkies during your stay so that you can stay connected with the in’s and out’s during your time on/off.
- You are provided with one set of keys to the buildings. Please share with your team partner/spouse.
Dates of Commitment.
May 1 – Sept. 15. The Park officially opens April 1, and our season kicks off on Memorial Weekend, end of May; however, we like our hosts to arrive by May 1 to help prepare for the season. Hosts are welcome to arrive earlier to help open up the camp.
