Sibbald Lake Campground Is Looking For Campground Manager (Host) In Alberta, Canada

Cedar & Spruce CampgroundsCampground Manager (Host) – Sibbald Lake Campground

Where Alberta’s wilderness meets your front yard.

Live. Work. Camp. Repeat.

Sibbald Lake Campground is the perfect blend of peaceful pine forests, mountain air, and unbeatable convenience—just a quick and scenic drive from both Calgary and Kananaskis Country. We’re looking for a friendly, self-sufficient Campground Host (with their own fully self-contained RV) to be the heartbeat of this beautiful, lakeside campground.

Please note: Sibbald Lake Campground has no hookups or on-site services. The Campground Manager must have a self-contained RV capable of off-grid living.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • As the Campground Manager (Host), you’ll wear a few hats—greeter, problem-solver, caretaker, and friendly face to every camper who rolls in. Your job? Keep the campground running smoothly and looking great while creating a welcoming environment for everyone who stops by.
  • This is a live-on-site gig (bring your own fully self-contained RV), with the lake as your neighbor and the stars as your ceiling.

Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

  • Campground Operations
    • Oversee daily operations: making sure sites, washrooms, and shared spaces are clean, safe, and in tip-top shape.
    • Do regular walk-throughs to catch any maintenance needs before guests do.
  • Guest Services
    • Be the first friendly face campers meet—check them in, collect fees, answer questions, and share local tips.
    • Help guests have a great stay and handle any hiccups with calm and care.
  • Safety & Rule Enforcement
    • Keep the campground peaceful and respectful—regular rounds help enforce quiet hours, fire rules, and general good vibes.
    • Be the go-to in emergencies, with support from local contacts.
  • Maintenance & Cleanliness
    • Clean campsites, vault toilets, and other facilities.
    • Sell firewood, empty garbage bins, and make sure recycling is sorted.
    • Flag any bigger issues that need fixing.
  • Community & Connection
    • Build rapport with guests and maintain good relationships with local authorities.
    • Help foster that friendly campground atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

What You’ll Bring

  • A welcoming attitude and love for the outdoors.
  • Ability to work independently (and sometimes alone) with confidence.
  • Strong communication skills and a cool head under pressure.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • First Aid Level 1 (or willing to complete—course provided).
  • Clear criminal record check (we’ll cover the cost).
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and work outside rain or shine.
  • A self-contained RV suitable for off-grid camping—this campground has no water, power, or sewer hookups.

Other Details

  • Location: Sibbald Lake Campground, Alberta (just over an hour from Calgary!)
  • Schedule: Flexible—includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Living On-Site: Yes – must have your own fully self-contained RV. A site will be provided, but no hookups or services are available.
  • Seasonal Role: Spend your summer where people vacation.
