The Savannas Preserve State Park And The Indian River Lagoon Aquatic Preserves (IRLAP) Office Are Partnering To Offer A Unique Opportunity For Resident Volunteers In Florida

Savannas Preserve State Park And The Indian River Lagoon Aquatic PreservesThe Resident Volunteer site will be within the boundaries of the Savannas Preserve Miller Property (located near 3300 Lewis Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34981), however, most of the volunteer work conducted will be to assist the Indian River Lagoon Aquatic Preserves Office.

Savannas Preserve State Park (Resident Volunteers ONLY)
Maintenance Position: 4/1/2022-8/31/2022

There is a minimum requirement of 20 volunteer hours a week per RV. In exchange, you have a full hook-up RV site including well-water (with water softener system), septic tank hook-up, and a 50 AMP connection. No restroom or shower facilities are available. Ice is available on-site during office hours (Mon-Fri, 9 am – 5 pm). A washer is available for volunteer use, and volunteers may install a clothesline if desired. There is no Wi-Fi available at the RV sites.

Due to the small size of our campsite area, unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any Resident Volunteers with children under the age of 18 or more than 2 well-behaved pets per RV.

Responsibilities include:
•Mowing
•Power Washing
•Light Construction such as building kayak racks or picnic tables
•Various projects such as repairing roofs, greasing boat trailer hubs, etc.
