Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is Seeking Work Camper Volunteers in Kentucky

Wolf Creek National Fish HatcheryJoin the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service volunteer team at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery Visitor/Environmental Education Center! We are currently seeking 2-person teams to help staff our Center and assist in our outreach activities for July 2021-December 2021.

In exchange for an average of 20-27 hours/person/week, work camper volunteers receive a full hook-up (FHU) deluxe campsite– level gravel lot, picnic table, fire ring; 50-30 amp service, water, and sewer hookups. Onsite laundry and limited WiFi (no streaming). Complimentary propane offered during the winter months.

Duties include: meeting/greeting the public; answering questions; fielding phone calls; performing the majority of cleaning (including Center restrooms) & minor maintenance; leading tours and helping with field trips; caring for live animals; operating Center gift shop; issuing hunting/fishing licenses; stocking/tracking/brochures; helping plan/prepare special events, workshops, and outreach programs.
