Boyce Thompson Arboretum Is Looking For A Visitor’s Center Host Volunteer In Arizona

Are you a people person? Do you like to help visitor’s have the best experience? Come join us at Boyce Thompson Arboretum this Fall through Spring as a Visitor’s Center Host Volunteer! Visitor’s Center Hosts work in the admissions booth & gift shop, help us with our retail nursery, and provide a warm welcome to each person that visits. Boyce Thompson Arboretum (BTA), an independent non-profit organization, is located just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. At 343 acres, it is the largest and oldest botanical garden in the state of Arizona and holds a collection of more than 20,000 plants from around the world.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Primary duty: Operate the admissions booth register, operate the gift shop register, water the retail nursery, and welcome visitors to the arboretum
• Post sign-up sheets for walks & tours
• Check-in group admissions and private tours
• Give accurate information to visitors about the grounds and programs
• Assist with gift shop merchandise organization
• Cleaning in the Visitor’s Center breezeway & restrooms
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Dual occupancy applications will be prioritized (2 volunteers per site)
• Available October 1st, 2026 – April 30th, 2027
• Cash handling experience
• Nature-lover

Full hook-ups provided. Free Laundry and shower facilities onsite. 50-watt electrical and septic.
