We provide this free job listing service for all employers whether private or public. There is no cost for prospective work campers to view the listings.

Instructions for submitting your listing:

Include as much detail as necessary to describe the position you are offering. Include information such as hours expected, compensation if any, etc. Please include all the information you believe will provide a clear description of your needs and what you offer in exchange for the prospective employee/volunteer. Please include the name of your campground we do not post anonymous ads. We do not post ads where no website, or other easily identifiable presence on the internet, can be found for the company submitting the ad.

Read This Before Sending Your Job Listing

Please do not request an applicant’s photo as this is listed as a prohibited employment practice by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. To verify this for yourself please visit the EEOC website for a list of Prohibited Employment Policies/Practices at https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/practices/. The language concerning asking for a photograph is listed under the section titled:

Pre-Employment Inquiries (General)

Similarly, employers should not ask for a photograph of an applicant. If needed for identification purposes, a photograph may be obtained after an offer of employment is made and accepted.

If your ad contains language requesting a photograph of the applicant we will remove the photo request and post your job listing.

Don’t forget to describe whether employees are to contact you by email, telephone, or snail mail. Please include a link to your website.

When you upload photos please compress the image size first by using a free service such as found on https://tinypng.com/. Not first compressing your images may result in your ad failing to upload.

To submit your work camper or camp host job listing to by email please follow the instructions below:

1.Your name;

2.The campground’s name or the organization seeking the work campers or camp hosts;

3.The state where the job is located;

4.Your website or Facebook page. If you do not have an internet presence, include a link to a website where your business name, address, and phone number are identified. Examples include listings on the city, county, chamber of commerce, or other similar websites. Unfortunately, we do not post ads if we cannot identify the employer.

5.The job listing should include:

a.Title;

b.Any general information you feel potential job applicants will find relevant;

c.What you expect from the applicant(s) such as personal qualifications, primary duties, work schedule, and other expectations you have;

d.What the applicants should expect in return for their services. Examples include wages, commissions, and amenities such as campsite, laundry, propane, etc.


6.If possible, include one photo to help draw interest to your job on our web page. We can extract a photo from most websites if you don’t have a good photo easily available.

Compose your ad as you want it to appear on this website and paste it into an email that you send to: will@happyvagabonds.com. If you want to include a photograph (highly recommended) with the listing, insert it into the email directly or as an attachment.

After Your Job Listing Is Submitted:

•We review each listing submitted and then manually post it to the website (to stop spammers), and send you an email confirmation with a link to your job listing.

•At any time after you have submitted your job listing you want to change the wording, click on this will@happyvagabonds.com email address and we will be happy to update your work camper ad.

•Once you have filled your work camper/volunteer position please let us know by sending an email to will@happyvagabonds.com and we will delete the ad from the work camper listings.
