Camp Rio (Formerly The Camp at Cloudcroft) Is Looking For Work Camper(s) In New Mexico

Camp RioCome experience the magic of the Sacramento Mountains, New Mexico, doing what we enjoy doing best – helping our guests. We need an individual or couple to work camp for 4 days on 4 days off in the offseason, 4 on 3 off during the season, (20-26 hours a week), in exchange for a full hook up site in this campground situated in the magical land of enchantment. At Camp Rio, there are 38 full hook up RV sites, 7 tent sites on the Rio Penasco River which runs through the park, 15 tent sites that are in our stargazing area, 3 glamping sites and 3 cabins. We need one person in the office to work answer telephone inquiries, make reservations, greet guests and visitors and answer questions or do check-ins/checkouts. There is a small store, that will require helping guests making purchases. You will also be responsible for helping maintain the bathhouse. Campspot is the reservation software used here and it will be helpful if you are familiar with it but we can also teach it to you.
The other person will work with our outside manager on maintenance projects and general upkeep of the park.
There are no wages but compensation is offered for cleaning the cabins/ make readies. The owners are also researching grants for other opportunities to make money for fishing, fire safety etc. There are events year-round and you get the opportunity to work alongside the most awesome owners and managers. About Us: Trailer Ranch RV Resort, an adult only park in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe is located 7200 feet above sea level so you must be in good health in order to perform the tasks required. Even though we are on the smaller size with only 55 unique RV sites and 65 long term Mobile home residents. Work campers should expect to be very busy during their shifts in the busier summer months as well as tolerate slower times in the winter months. Candidates should be easy-going, can get along with all types of people as well as being flexible and willing to provide excellent customer service. We find we have the most success with managing the customers’ expectations prior to their arrival so we provide the necessary training to strengthen your skills without the need to be micromanaged.

We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all our guests while upholding a specific and sometimes unique set of policies within our park.

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic couple interested in learning the ins and outs of managing an RV park. The RV industry continues to surge in popularity so the skills you learn will carry forward to any RV park across the country. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills in the RV park industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the RV Park Manager in daily operations, including check-ins/check-outs, reservations management, and guest relations.
  • Learn and eventually oversee maintenance tasks such as landscaping, groundskeeping, and minor repairs.
  • Gain experience in managing and maintaining park amenities such as laundry/bathhouse facilities, recreational areas, and community spaces.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Work collaboratively with the manager and other staff members to uphold park policies and ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all guests.
  • Willingness to train and oversee seasonal staff in busier spring/summer/fall months

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • General experience in buildings and grounds maintenance, some working knowledge of light electrical and plumbing.
  • Physically able to shovel snow in the winter
  • Basic computer skills (experience with reservation systems a plus such as Campground Master)
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Santa Fe Treehouse Camp Is Looking For Work Campers In New Mexico

We are looking for a few energetic people or reliable couples to join us May 21-November 1 to help our non-profit organization thrive!

An average of 3 hours /4 days a week (12 hours a person) or 3 hrs/3 days a week each person (averaging 18 hours per couple) volunteer exchange allows you a campsite for your own RV, camper trailer or tent on this beautiful 156 acre wilderness preserve. You will have access to the communal bathhouse, outdoor kitchen, and camp wifi. (For additional hours or a small fee we do have a camper unit on site you may be able to utilize.)

Santa Fe Treehouse Camp is a safe, beautiful, wilderness preserve where people can unplug and attune with nature. Initially founded as a children’s summer camp, the camp has expanded into an all-ages eco-retreat center for couples, families, solo travelers, school outdoor education, business teams and other organizations. (We are a dog friendly facility!)

We have wonderful trails to hike right from the property that tie into many miles of the rugged Pecos Wilderness Area within the Santa Fe National Forest. You can also experience many other fun activities on site such as archery, tomahawk throwing, climbing on our mobile climbing wall, wilderness skills, tree climbing, bird watching, astronomy programs and more!

We are located just 30 minutes from downtown Santa Fe and its historic plaza where you can enjoy world class restaurants, entertainment, art galleries and seasonal festivals.

NOTE: Due to high fire danger, and our work with youth, we are a SMOKE FREE environment.

Duties:

  • Guests: Respond to guest’s needs and other duties as assigned by the directors.
  • Campground Sites: Remove trash and make sure people are following camp rules; fire closures, noise levels, litter.
  • Treehouse Cabins: Clean between guest stays. Sweep, disinfect, empty trash and straighten the area.
  • Bathhouse: Disinfect, clean, refill supplies, soap, paper towels, toilet paper. Mop floors, clean toilets, showers, etc.
  • Outdoor Kitchen: Clean, disinfect, wipe out the refrigerators and throw out old food as needed. Clean stove, ovens, floors and other surfaces.
  • And, other duties as requested…
