Santa Fe Treehouse Camp Is Looking For Work Campers In New Mexico

Come share our wide open skies and enchanted hilltop above Santa Fe, New Mexico!

We are looking for a few energetic people or reliable couples to join us May 21-November 1 to help our non-profit organization thrive!

An average of 3 hours /4 days a week (12 hours a person) or 3 hrs/3 days a week each person (averaging 18 hours per couple) volunteer exchange allows you a campsite for your own RV, camper trailer or tent on this beautiful 156 acre wilderness preserve. You will have access to the communal bathhouse, outdoor kitchen, and camp wifi. (For additional hours or a small fee we do have a camper unit on site you may be able to utilize.)

Santa Fe Treehouse Camp is a safe, beautiful, wilderness preserve where people can unplug and attune with nature. Initially founded as a children’s summer camp, the camp has expanded into an all-ages eco-retreat center for couples, families, solo travelers, school outdoor education, business teams and other organizations. (We are a dog friendly facility!)

We have wonderful trails to hike right from the property that tie into many miles of the rugged Pecos Wilderness Area within the Santa Fe National Forest. You can also experience many other fun activities on site such as archery, tomahawk throwing, climbing on our mobile climbing wall, wilderness skills, tree climbing, bird watching, astronomy programs and more!

We are located just 30 minutes from downtown Santa Fe and its historic plaza where you can enjoy world class restaurants, entertainment, art galleries and seasonal festivals.

NOTE: Due to high fire danger, and our work with youth, we are a SMOKE FREE environment.

Duties:

• Guests: Respond to guest’s needs and other duties as assigned by the directors.
• Campground Sites: Remove trash and make sure people are following camp rules; fire closures, noise levels, litter.
• Treehouse Cabins: Clean between guest stays. Sweep, disinfect, empty trash and straighten the area.
• Bathhouse: Disinfect, clean, refill supplies, soap, paper towels, toilet paper. Mop floors, clean toilets, showers, etc.
• Outdoor Kitchen: Clean, disinfect, wipe out the refrigerators and throw out old food as needed. Clean stove, ovens, floors and other surfaces.
• And, other duties as requested…

NM: Mountains Spirits RV Park located at 2743 Hwy 35 North in Mimbres, New Mexico, has an immediate opening for Park Managers, couple preferred.
Mountains Spirits RV Park and Self-Storage, LLC is located approximately 20 miles east of Silver City, NM in the historic Mimbres Valley, which is the gateway to the Gila Wilderness area. Lakes, streams and hiking trails are throughout the area.

RV Park Managers oversees operations and ensure smooth running of the facility. Typical work week is 4 days.

• Implement policies and procedures for park operation.
• Manage Park maintenance, including landscaping, utilities, and facilities.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and regular maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of park occupancy, reservations, and finances.
• Develop and oversee customer relations, ensuring positive guest experiences.
• Handle complaints and conflicts with diplomacy and efficiency.
• Monitor and manage park staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Pump propane and run office.

Office work includes cleaning 2 modern restrooms and a small laundry room, greeting and checking in new arrivals, etc. Must be physically able to do yard work including watering, mowing and weeding.

We offer a 30amp RV site with patio and storage building. A $150.00 monthly credit towards electric/propane, Wi-Fi and Dish TV and $1200.00 a month cash stipend to help with expenses.

Shopping is available in Silver City with all the major stores. Verizon and Tracfone are the only 2 cell services that work here. There is a health clinic across the street that is open 2 days a week.

Trailer Ranch RV Resort, an adult only park in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, is currently looking for friendly, energetic, extremely dependable seasonal work campers for the Spring/Summer season 2024. Trailer Ranch is a very popular RV park in the heart of historic Santa Fe, with 60 overnight RV sites plus 65 permanent tenants.

Santa Fe is located at 7200 feet above sea level so you must be in good health in order to perform the tasks required. We are looking for individuals who expect to be very busy during their shifts, are easy going and can get along with all types of people as well as being flexible and willing to provide excellent customer service. We find we have the most success with managing the customer’s expectations prior to their arrival and we train you to have the skills specific to our park and thus ensuring your success as a team player without the need to be micromanaged.

We have several immediate openings on our work camping team, both in animal care-taking and in buildings & grounds/maintenance. We are open to all types of travelers-singles, couples, RVers, van-lifers.

At Desert Haven Animal Rescue (DHAR) our animal care-takers help care for companion animals so applicants must enjoy caring for cats and dogs. You will help socialize, clean up after, and exercise our dogs and puppies while providing loving attention, care, and clean up for our cat and kitten population. Pets welcomed. Sorry, no kids.

We offer no pay for our basic animal care-taker position but provide a FHU (onsite at our RV Campground) in exchange for 18 hours a week for singles or 30 hours a week for couples.

For animal care-taker applicants who also possess quality handyman/property maintenance/grounds-keeping skills, we offer 15 handyman hours paid at an hourly rate of $13/hr and a reduced exchange of only 10 hours per week of animal care for your FHU site.

Desert Haven, which is owned and operated by the Sierra County Humane Society, is a small non-profit, no-kill animal rescue & sanctuary located between Las Cruces and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Our five-acre property is located in a peaceful country setting in the high desert, near Truth or Consequences, NM.
