About Us: Mountain Haven Tiny House Community is a serene and vibrant tiny house village nestled just outside Floyd, Virginia. We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our community as a Caretaker. This unique position offers the opportunity to live on-site in your own tiny house or RV, with minimal daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance: Keep the community tidy by cleaning up leaves and debris.
• Basic Repairs: Fix minor water leaks and perform general maintenance tasks around the property.
• Home Setup: Assist with setting up new tiny homes when they arrive, which includes basic carpentry and handyman tasks.
• Community Support: Be the go-to person for minor issues and upkeep around the community.

Qualifications:

• Experience with basic carpentry and handyman tasks.
• Ability to perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Must own a tiny house or RV for on-site living.

Project Help Mom Is Looking For A Work Camper To Help Mom Around House In Virginia

4 weeks: July 5 – August 2, 2024 (maybe longer)
We have had two amazing Work campers who were empty nester MOMS and the experience for both was wonderful! Thank-you! The current work camper is leaving for a short summer break and Mom could use some help short term.
This time we are hoping for an empty nester couple or single female to help out. Mom experience and handyman experience are valued greatly.
Mom and Dad were avid RVers chasing bluegrass festivals around the region. Now our mom is in need of support around the house including meal prep, running errands, organizing, sorting, light housekeeping, handyman work and packing in preparation for a move to senior living.
Hours: RV/TT/Van site in exchange for 20 hours a week for a couple, 15 hr for a single.
Site: 30 amp electric connection, water, wifi (with booster), bathroom with shower, and laundry. Gray water trickle ok. Free dump station 15 minutes away. This property is 3/4 of an acre in a subdivision at the end of a cul-de-sac with a paved driveway.
Enjoy the quiet of private property in the suburbs less than a half hour from vibrant historic downtown Richmond, hiking and biking trails, and river activities. We will be happy to send more pictures if you want.
