Stanley RV + Camp Looking For A Work Camper Couple For 2024 Summer Season In Idaho $$

Stanley RV + CampWe are looking for a work camper couple to help out at our RV Park for the summer season of 2024. All hours paid + FHU site with mountain views. June 5th thru September 15th, 2024.

We are a small campground located at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains, 5 miles west of the small mountain town of Stanley, Idaho within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The campground consists of 24 FHU RV sites, 2 small cabins, 4 lodge rooms, shared kitchen space, and a campground office. Owners are hands-on and live on-site. We have an energetic vibe here with a rustic modern design around camp.

We have two primary tasks for the couple:

Camp Host / Office (35 Hours/wk)

  • Office duties are related to RV check-ins, small campground store, and sharing adventure ideas with our guests.
  • This position will work 35 hours a week, Friday thru Tuesday, including 1 on-call shift consisting paid at $25/night + hourly wage if called-in. On-call shift requires being available to assist guests with after hours check-in or other assistance as needed; not including maintenance issues.

Housekeeping (9 Hours/wk)

  • Housekeeping will help clean our small cabins, shared kitchen, bathhouse, and office. All cabin/lodge rooms use the shared bathhouse.
  • This position will work 9 hours a week, Sunday thru Tuesday. Including 2 on-call shifts paid at $25/night + hourly wage if called in. On-call shift requires being available to assist guests with afterhours check-in or other assistance as needed; not including maintenance issues.

Perks / Compensation

  • Camp Host/Office wages (DOE): $15/hr for all hours worked
  • Housekeeping wage: Non-paid; hours worked pay for FHU site.
  • FHU site with mountain views. We do have a limit for a 30ft RV and limited wifi.
  • On-call duties occur on the same night for both employees and each employee is paid $25/night + hourly wage for any hours worked when called in to assist guests.
  • Days off are Wednesday and Thursday for both employees.
  • Super dog-friendly RV Park with amazing walks right from camp for daily views of the Sawtooth Mountains.
  • Your pet must be comfortable alone in their camper during work hours.
  • All our bookings are handled online or in-person. There is no office phone to answer!
  • Free Laundry and access to our 24 hours bathhouse / laundry facility
  • Located within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area: surrounded by natural hot springs, white-water rafting, fishing, hiking, biking, and any other summer outdoor activity you can think of! Cooler mornings and bright blue skies greet you most days here.

Mountain View RV Park And Restaurant Is Looking For Two Work Camp Couples (or Singles) Starting May 15th, 2024 In Idaho $$

Mountain View RV Park And Restaurant(2) Work Camp Couples (or singles) to work alongside us this summer! If you love to travel, our park can be a great basecamp for all your adventures. We are approximately 3 hours from Yellowstone National Park, 2 hours from Jackson Hole, WY and 2.5 hours from Stanley, ID. We would need a commitment from approximately May 15th thru October 1st 2024. Each team (or single) will be responsible for working a combined total of 20hrs/week in exchange for a FHU site. Shifts will be arranged so that each couple has the same days off on concurrent days. Any hours worked in addition to the 20 hours per couple or individual will be compensated at a rate of $12 per hour. Free Wi-Fi and laundry also included.
Available positions:
Office/Front Desk: Check in guests, take reservations, answer phones, enter reservations in our booking system (ResNexus), takes payments. Office staff must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, work well in a team, ability to self-manage and have some computer skills. We will cross train on the POS so that take-out orders for the restaurant can be entered in while working the evening shift. Office staff/maintenance will also be responsible for daily bathhouse cleaning.
Cook: Looking for a cook for our small BBQ restaurant. Will train on current menu items and cooking instructions. New ideas and menu items welcomed! Great support staff already in place. Must be able to run a clean and safe kitchen, know food safety protocol, be able to self-manage, work well with servers and other staff and maintain a positive attitude. Previous kitchen experience is required.
Server: Work at least (3) dinner shifts per week. Tips are split between the two servers on shift each night. Servers will learn how to make signature drinks, help with cleaning restaurant bathrooms, and assist kitchen staff as needed. They will also be cross-trained on the reservation software.

Basic Job Description

You will work in a variety of capacities across our 5 different business categories: RV park, fuel, convenience store, bistro, and UTV rentals. We cross-train all of our staff to be able to handle the different tasks necessary in all categories of the business. Training will occur in the spring. The Sawmill is very busy during the high season and the work pace can be brisk during that time.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay: Starting pay is $10/hr. When fully cross-trained compensation increases to $12/hr.
  • Tips: Our staff receives tips which generally range from $2-6/hr.
  • RV Space and Utilities: We provide a 30 amp, full hook-up RV space including utilities at no cost to our staff who reside in RVs. (value is $600/mo)
  • Meals: We provide one meal per shift at no cost to our staff on the day of the shift. (value is approx. $323/ mo)
  • UTV Use: We provide the use of one UTV/month/couple or individual at a minimal cost to staff (** staff member must assume financial responsibility for any damages incurred and pay a ride fee of $35, plus fuel. This benefit is non-transferable.). (value is $400/mo)
  • Assuming a 30 hour work week, the value of the total compensation package is approximately $26/hour.

Hours

Staff members typically wish to work 20-30 hours per week and we do our best to accommodate their scheduling preferences. However, the level of business and the number of people available can vary and affect the number of hours required or available. As a condition of employment at the Sawmill Station, you must be willing to be flexible with the number of hours you will work in order to accommodate the needs of the business.
