Lake Heron Retreat Is Looking For Camp Hosts For Non-profit Christian/Conservation Organization In Pennsylvania

Lake Heron Retreat is seeking a friendly, reliable couple to work together as a team, or individually, to help us maintain our small campground and welcome guests. We are a private non-profit Christian campground located on a 10 acre lake in south-central PA. We have 10 RV sites, a pavilion with tent camping, two primitive cabins, three tent sites, and a remote tent site. One of our most popular features is the quiet and private atmosphere of our 240 acre wooded property. Many of our campers return annually or even several times a year to enjoy fishing, swimming, and hiking.

We are looking for a commitment for mid-July through October 31.

Job Duties include cleaning bathrooms, privies, and cabins, grounds keeping (trimming grass, cleaning fire rings), helping guests with boat rentals and equipment, enforcing rules, helping with special events and volunteer work days, helping to bundle firewood and keep firewood boxes full, and performing light maintenance and repairs.

Compensation – FHU RV campsite. Large wooded site with water, sewer, 30 & 50 amp electric, trash, (no cable or wi-fi) in exchange for approximately 3-4 hours per day, 5 days per week. Hours will vary, but Thursday – Sunday being a requirement. It is important that volunteers be friendly, cheerful, and helpful, as you will represent the values of the owners. You should be in fairly good physical health to perform duties required.
